So, it's the last day of 2015 for most of us! I know my friends around the world might be finishing their day already :)

What's your plans for today?

Me? I'm running errands in the am, and filing up with gas because it goes up January 1st. Then a friend's for dinner. Pretty low key, but it should be fun!

been up since wensday am, so i probley gonna sleep all day

Well...if I can wake up before noon I'm going to practice my piano before all the football games start. We might run to the store. But I think mostly it will just be a quiet day and evening. I'm going to stand outside and listen to the fireworks at midnight and try not to cry as I say goodbye to 2015. I always get so emotional on New Years Eve. At midnight.

I'll be home and have a quiet day with some good food tonight but I will be fiddling a bit with my planner today too and maybe scrap some pages :) I'm looking forward to 2016 since next Friday I'll travel to see my youngest granddaughter for the first time.

I will be working today... this morning from about 8am-2pm. Then I go back in at 6pm-11pm. *fingers crossed that I get home before Midnight* I always ring in the New Year with my kids, even if they are crashed out before the bell strikes 12 :giggle

Christmas is going away, and that means a deep clean for my house. Big pot of posole to be made.

Video for my MOC day, and then everyone takes naps today.
We have a huge NoTalent Talent show at our church tonight. I love this program. A big pot luck, (bringing a big ham)
and then people that you don't see in the limelight usually (some of them perform too) get on stage.
There are kids singing, little skits, bands put together just for tonight. My twin daughters are doing a cover to a few pop songs. They changed the words to be more testimonial of Jesus in their lives. I cry every time they practice at home. They can belt out some tunes! I will sit and crochet and laugh with my precious church family. Then we pray in the new year, home to hugs and bed...cause...the MOC is coming!!...lol

I am scrapping and working today. taking advantage of my last day or so of being guest polly, trying to finish up the AJ challenge, get out some of the negativity that has clouded this week, and hoping to spend some more time in my planner, prettying it, so I can do a "plan with me" or a "planner set up" video or something. :giggle

Pretty much doing a whole lot of nothing today :) I need to get my house cleaned up at some point today and then this evening the 3 of us will just chill and play around with some photo props while we watch the countdown.

@AnneofAlamo that No Talent Show sounds like so much fun and that posole looks delicious!!

Anne, that posole looks awesome, I'm not familiar with it. Is that cilantro I see floating on top? I love anything with fresh cilantro in it!

We are all lounging in our PJs right now. I'm going to watch the Christmas special of Downton Abbey in a bit and then do a little more art journaling/painting because I know it's the last I will be doing until February.... MOC STARTS TOMORROW! Woot! :woot

Tonight we are going to a friends house with about four other families. The kids get to stay up late watching movies, eating junk food and playing Nerf wars while the adults hang out, chat, play games and eat junk food. :)

Errands and grocery... Then some cooking... Then a friends house for fun, food and New Year's festivities.

I have bacon to use up so.... Bacon Avocado Dip (with chips or oddly, sausage bites), Bacon Wrapped Scallops and a platter of fruits with a yummy fruit dip! Mmmm!

I can't wait for MOC and for New Years! :circles

Us also!!! I love nights like this with friends! :byay:clappy

Good morning! Just a quiet day here. Grocery and then I'll make something yummy for dinner. What? I don't know LOL! Like I said, low key!

working until around lunchtime, then lunch with a friend, home to clean up a bit so we don't start our year with a mess! making our new years day dinner tonight so hubby can take a plate to work tomorrow, and having hotel dip and black eyed pea dip for dinner while we watch football games this evening! (i hope i can scrapbook or organize while he is watching the game) i will countdown with the kids, watching disney channel since hubby has to be at work at 5:30 in the morning. ...and then i will start stalking for MOC!

pork(not tripe, that is menudo), red chile', hominy, fresh cilatro, cut cabbage and lime squeezed on top. Clears the sinus', warms the heart and makes my family smile!

@AnneofAlamo I love the idea of a NoTalent Talent Show! My daughters love the spotlight and are good singers and actresses, so we often hosted talent shows with our homeschool group. But it was frustrating because so few would participate and many didn't even show up! I tried emphasizing that everyone should come, even if they don't want to perform because performers need an audience, but I don't think that helped much. I wonder if a NoTalent Talent show would have had more participation.

As for my plans for today, I'm mostly going to get some things done around the house, like take down the Christmas decorations, but my kids are sleeping in so first I'm spending the quiet time this morning working in Lightroom and reading & writing here at TLP. We're going to have another at-home NYE, same as the last several. It's not quiet because I encourage the kids to run around banging pots and pans at midnight, but it's nice to be in our cozy home.
