We moved to the Reno/Sparks area last year and still haven't been to Las Vegas (about an 8 hour drive). The girls will be with Grammy and Papa in May and we thought that would be a great time to go down for a couple days.
We would need to do it SUPER cheap (not like shady hotel cheap but you know what I mean! )
So tell me any good deals that you have gotten in Las Vegas.
I know hubby would want to hit up some good buffets. We always love finding the hidden sandwich shops etc. So any time are perfection!!!!

We are not big on gambling or drinking so that won't cost any $$ mostly just want to go see it all. :photo

i LOVE Las Vegas..
and we ALWAYS do it cheap..
(we've stayed at Treasure Island and the Hard Rock Hotel and Circus Circus when I was way little.. ROFL)
and couple other little unknown places just off the strip.

We don't drink or gamble..
I just shop and see the sites...
There is SO much to see and SO much walking.
(this is all on the strip-which i imagine is where you are talkin about?)
There are a couple new hotels on the south side of the strip that
have AMAZING architecture.........so beautiful!
You can see the few free shows...
the ones I can think of are at Treasure Island and Billagio
do NOT miss going to the Billagio....the water show is AMAZING
there is an atrium inside that is GORGEOUS and some beautiful designs inside
(and fun shops) as well..
There is a mall on the southern end of the strip south of Treasure Island
that I always walk through...

But mostly we just walk, and take in the sites...
The eatin is good too.
and if you decide to splurge on a show, those are always fun.
(we just saw blue man group....it was pretty different but SO FUN!)

We've never done buffets.....as we have our favorite eats there
but I've heard that the buffet at the Rio was spectacular -but that's a ways off the strip..

have fun! be safe!

Well, Vegas is somewhat a neighbor to me since I only live three and a half hours away. LOL

Circus Circus is a pretty reasonable place. It's clean and there's a ton to do there. There are TONS of places to get good food there pretty cheap. And I agree with Jacque, you have to catch the water show at Bellagio.

paula where do you live?
my husband is from ivins...
(by st george)
not even 2 hours north of vegas.

okay we booked three nights at the stratosphere for $148 total (that includes rides to the top of the tower and 2 thrill rides each) I feel like its a good deal but have never been before so WHO KNOWS! LOL

oh wow!
that IS a good deal..
my room at Treasure Island
was that much EACH night!!
(and NOT on a weekend...)
LOL
but we had excellent views......
HAAAAAAAAAA

Ooo have inner at the top of the strat. It's super yummy. Plus you spin around (slowly) and get to see the lights of the whole city at night. Best dinner I had in Vegas. (but in and out is such a close second... Lucky westerners!)

OMG so jealous!! I was just saying to DH last night (in my drunken/ half glass state) that I want us to go to Vegas one day!! He pretty much ignored me! lol I have no advice but have fun!!
