LA - Universal Studios question

For anyone that has been to Universal Studios I'm wondering if the VIP experience is worth the money or if front of line tickets are the best option? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I haven't been since 1995!! When are you coming to the US?

We went to the park in Florida and thought it was worth it even though it's expensive. It's sort of like having a Fast Pass for every ride.
