so since we're all talking about kindles lately, i wanted to share what made today! I've been itching to make a cover for my kindle so i can just take it my purse everywhere i go! I couldn't bring myself to buy one-ahhaha!

so this morning it came to me what i wanted to do! I doodle-sewed on some brown felt to make wood grain and then just made an easy envelope pattern, and sewed it all up! I found the leaves material in my stash too so i thought it would be a cute liner!

anyway, thought I'd share and was wondering if any of you have made one before????

val that's perfect! i've got this on my list of projects to be done too. how long did it take you (minus the wood grain stitching... mine will not have that, as it would NOT look anything like yours, i'm sure!)??

thanks girls!!!!

honestly, the entire thing (including the woodgrain) took just over an hour!

oh and rebecca! the woodgrain was super easy- i just went with the flow.....seriously EASY!

Oh Val, that's awesome!! SO creative and whimsical. LOVE! I've had material for.ever to make an envelope for my iPad but I am a little scared of my sewing machine. I need to get over it. I think you've inspired me!!

So super cute! I want to do one with hot pink and wood grain! Fun!

No, I've never attempted to make one, but seeing that a Kindle is in my near future, I'd be happy to let you make one for me. :D I'll PM you my shipping address whenever you're ready. LOL!! :D JK

But, seriously...wow! You're a woman of many talents!
