Who else is excited as I am that MOC is back this year?! I cannot wait to dive in to those challenges but also to try to just get my scrapping into a nice groove for the upcoming year! My 2025 was a bit odd and rough and I'm ready for a fresh start. So, here goes!

As we step into a brand-new year, many of us feel the pull to start fresh—new goals, new habits, new plans. But before we rush ahead, there’s incredible value in pausing to look back. One of the most meaningful ways to do that is through a “Lessons Learned” scrapbooking prompt.

This prompt invites us to reflect on what the past year has taught us—not just the highlights, but the growth, the challenges, and the quiet realizations that shaped who we are today.

For this month's challenge, I would like to see you create a page about a lesson (or lessons) learned in 2025.
A “Lessons Learned” page doesn’t need to be heavy or complicated. There are no right or wrong lessons—big or small, joyful or difficult, they all deserve space.

Need some help in thinking of what lesson you may have learned? Here are a few ideas:
  • A lesson the past year taught you
  • A lesson about patience
  • A lesson learned the hard way
  • A lesson about letting go
  • A lesson from a mistake, success, or change
  • A lesson learned from success
  • A lesson about rest or boundaries
  • A lesson about saying “no”
If you still need more ideas, let me know!

CHALLENGE:
Using Kim Jensen Designs products, create a page that highlights at least one lesson you learned in 2025.
  • Please include a photo and at least a short statement about the lesson.
  • If you have no photo, that’s fine, but then please journal at least 4 sentences in lieu of the photo..
BONUS: Using an alpha from Kim Jensen, create a Meaningful One Word Title to go along with your lesson.

General Challenge Rules:
*Use at least 75% Kim Jensen Designs product (current or retired from TLP) to create your layout meeting the criteria listed above.
*Upload your layout to the Kim Jensen gallery. Please include your credits.
*post your layout to this thread and link to your gallery post.
*Layouts must be new for this challenge and cannot be combined with other challenges.
*All layouts must be posted by 11:59pm Pacific Time, January 31, 2026.

*One layout will be chosen to receive a $10 coupon for Kim Jensen Designs’ shop!
*All other participants will receive a 20% off coupon for Kim Jensen Designs’ shop!
*You may enter multiple layouts to increase your odds of winning the $10 prize, but each scrapper will only receive one coupon.
*As a BONUS, Kim will be giving away an EXTRA $10 coupon from the entries that also follow the BONUS instruction above.

Here's my page documenting my lesson learned about eating peanuts

And here we have one from @umyesh highlighting the lessons learned about youth & technology!

I can't wait to see what kinds of lessons our lovely scrapping community learned last year!
