Okay ladies, I need help before I have an all-out hissy fit..... like this -----> :furious:hissy:cry

I got a new computer. I LOVE said computer. Except.... when I type, it's like the keyboard goes NUTS and i'll be typing a word and it will ever-so-randomly skip down or up or over and type wherever it wants. Or it will select full paragraphs and type over them in the blink of an eye. Or it will do what it JUST did to me... I'll be almost finished with a big thing I'm writing out and then it will just take me back a page in my browser and all of what I just did is gone.

I can't TAKE it anymore! There has to be some way to address this?? No??? Anyone?? Heather?? I know you have the same kind of computer that I have... do you have this problem?

*sigh* I need help.

now, heather, i will go back to the other thread and try to answer your question.... again... hmmph

Is it a laptop? When I just got my laptop (just a little over a month ago) I found that it's was a pain to type and everything went wrong ie: skipping lines and it would pretty much act crazy lol. After paying attention to how I type I realized that I was accidentally touching the touch pad (just a tiny bit) with my hands and so I turned my touch pad off it never messes up on me anymore (I use a mouse) so not sure if that is an option for you?

mine did this on my Vaio but not till it got a coffee bath LOL it would just delete all my layers in CS and delete what i was writing. drove me freaking nuts. Once i replace the keyboard it will be good to go.
i have never had that happen ...YET..with a new one. but i do know that when i hit the stupid touch pad my arrow goes crazy
so if its brand new IDK what it could be but what Micheline says makes sense

well i thought maybe it was the touchpad. and most of the time i think it is. this one has a rather large touch pad area, so it's easy to bump. but you can turn it off, which i do when i'm typing. and still sometimes the thing will go bonkers, although it does happen much less frequently with the touchpad off.

carly, no coffee baths here. i would DIE! :giggle

Have you googled the problem with the type of laptop you have and maybe you'll find someone else with the same problem with a solution? I'm the google queen, I can find ANYTHING on there lol.

do you also have the little round button in the middle of your keyboard? That acts as a mouse too. Hubby had it on his work computer and it locked him out of security things all the time. His tech guy at work did something to turn it off, but I can't remember what.
