which other designers work best with the kits of Kate hadfield?
Just wondering what you come up with (and why) :thumbsups

All of them? :giggle I am a big kit mixer. I went through some old LOs to see if there was a pattern with who I mixed with Kate and there isn't really.

Of course, she also has collabs like this one with Kim. I love what the two of them create together :)

all of them ;) their papers and such do coordinate well with Kate's doodles. I mix a lot especially in Art Journaling they work well. Also all of Kate's pocket pages and doodled borders work with all designers here at the pad... In the past, Kate has teamed up with Kim Jensen and Michelle of Quirky Hearts for wonderful collabs (Audaciously Awesome with Kim and Family Tree with Quirky Hearts that are two of my favorites). Kate's doodles just mesh well with all and are also great mixed with her own sets of doodles. I find I mix and blend a lot of Kate's kits with her own, plus other designers and enjoy the process. Hope you get the answers you are looking for. You cannot go wrong with Kate's kits as they are so versatile!!

Here is one I used Kate's doodles with Just Jaimee, Pink Reptile Designs, and Amy Martin:

Another made with some Valorie Wibbens to mix with Kate's:

Kate & Kim Collab: Springity Spring-

another mixed with CD Mucosky, Pink Reptile Designs, Valorie Wibbens:

Just glance through Kate's gallery and you will see all the mixes. Again, Kate's doodles go with all designers as well as mixing with her own kits! Have fun!!

Thanks for your effort. I'm planning on buying more stuff, but think I'm not a big mixer... ;-)
I will look into Kim's kits a bit more. :-)

Yes! I do that a lot. Mixing up Kate's own kits! They blend perfectly :-)
thank you, Christa!

My pleasure!! I just love looking too at others and how they blend all the designers stuff together. Each scrapper here has their own style but the pages are all gorgeous! I cannot wait to see your pages too!! I saw your pirate one yesterday and was like wow... I was running late so I did not get to comment on it but it did pop out at me in the gallery!! Have fun!

Hi Frumpje! Welcome to the forum! :)

Thanks Christa and Lorry for your kind words and suggestions! As Christa and Lorry have already mentioned, I think how you mix and match is all down to your own personal style! For me when I am scrapping, I think that Kim Jensen's kits naturally work well with mine, as do Kaye Winiecki's, CD Muckosky's and Michelle's (Quirky Heart) - we all share a love of colour and hand made / hand painted goodies!! I hope that helps as a starting point at least. Have fun shopping!

One of the fun things here at the Lilypad is BYOC (Build Your Own Collab)! The designers create products based on the same colour palette, so all of their kits coordinate. (Here's the September BYOC collection). The BYOC collection is released on the first Friday of each month.

For example, I used Kate's Bookworms doodles with One Little Bird's How it Began papers, both from the March 2013 collection.

Kate's Joodle Strips & Cards all coordinate with BYOC collections.

Here are some other pages with Kate's doodles and things from other designers:

And, like others have mentioned, Kate & Kim Jensen have done fabulous collabs!

ohhh gosh, pretty much anyone!!!!!! I LOVE love LOVE Kate & Kim Jensen together, but I am a mixer too and LOVE finding mixtures that were not supposed to be, like a very non doodly designer together with Kate works wonders!!!!! dont have much time to find pages right now, but you can sure mis with anyone here at the pad... I love anything that Kate makes!!!!!

Whenever I use Kate's goodies and want matching papers I always check in the BYOC category first to see if there's one that matches. :)

The kits that I generally combine with Kate's kits are usually ones that have a common theme. The first example is a combination of On Our Travels by Kate Hadfield and You Are Here by Allison Pennington. Both have a travel theme, and it's an added bonus that the colors work as well :)

My next two combined two of Kate's kits (Wonderlanders / All Mad Here) with a collab by Emily Merritt, Valorie Wibbens, and Jacque Larsen (Very Merry Unbirthday). The theme is Alice in Wonderland:

My final example has to do with gardening. I went a little bit "out of the box" with this one and combined Kate's Gardenin Grown kit with Sahlin's Field Trip kit. They both have an outdoor-sy theme to them, so they work!
