just bust loose?

Back in my 30s I considered having my nose pierced on one side for one diamond but decided against it mainly because I didn't think attracting attention to my nose was a great idea. It's not bad but it sure isn't the most beautiful one around.

to me., ear rings are ok, I like that heart but is a painful place to pierce.... I have 6 piercings in one side, but only use two, and I really dislike nose rings. I have a little tattoo that IO had done in 1985....still looks great, just lost color, is small in my arm-
Sarita has 3 but very very tasteful and the three mean something deep for her...last one she had done in Barcelona..... she asked me to write down in a piece of paper "Vai com Deus" "Go with God" which is what I tell her every time she leaves the house.... she has it tattooed in the back of her neck...ion my hand writing :)
so now she has God tattooed in her body :)
I should make a page about her tattoos!!!

I would say paint the hall!!!
Paint The Hallway...lol
yes!!!!

yep yep yep
"nods"
my oldest son just got a HUGE one of his wife's name.
She hates it, hates tattoos and was not impressed,
he wanted her to get one, and she told me the funniest saying she holds too...
you don't put a bumper sticker on a Lamborghini.
I know why my son picked her, but sometimes I wonder why she picked him..bhahah
bhhhahhaha

ohhh my that is so PERFECT!!!!!!!! LOL

I love that piercing! Super cute! I have my tragus pierced on one side and I love it. I want to get the other side done. I am the rebel child. I wasn't growing up, but have been in adulthood LOL. I have my nose pierced and at one time had my belly button and one of my "girls" pierced.. I've since taken the last two out, but still have the nose, just a tiny stud. And I love coloring my hair. I used to get one red streak and lately I've been adding purple. I have a dark purple underneath and purple highlights on top. It fades on me pretty quick, though. Last month she added a couple of pink strips underneath and I don't even like pink. I wear a lot of black and brown, so it all matches pretty well haha. I also have 6 tattoos - ankle, 2 on the back, neck, stomach, and wrist.

And I love the idea of the orange hallway!!

IDK - every time I see a nose piercing I think it is a big ole white head pimple.

I just colored my hair red. Not a cherry red, but auburn red. I was tired of the blonde and have been red before. When I was a baby, I was strawberry blonde (more strawberry than blonde). It fits my pale skin. :giggle A few months ago, I bought some pink shampoo. It didn't work as well as I'd have liked. I always wanted to have the pink hair (pale pink), but didn't think it would work out.

I did get a tattoo a couple of years ago. It is a deer man with branch antlers... basically because deer are one of my spirit animals, and it is a reminder to always keep your wild side/never let them tame you.

My daughter does the wild hair colors every time she goes. This time it is magenta with an orchid glaze and the rest is really dark brown. She's done mermaid colors with black before and all sorts of other combos.

Paint the wall, wear wild colors, do crazy hair colors or piercings. It's all good.

i cringed in pain when i saw the picture - i'm a wimp but DH would say he can't handle living with a painted hall in a colour that he doesn't like so I hope (and am pretty sure) yours is more forgiving!

I'd paint the hall, too, over getting my ear pierced there! I do have pierced ears - for one pair of earrings...one side is closing up and I want to go get it redone so I can wear my cute Christmas earrings. My bestest wild streak was getting purple streaks last January. I LOVED them. But I worried about what others would think when they saw me that way. An old grandma with purple in her hair. But I still loved it. The first and only truly "wild" thing I have ever done in my whole life. And I'm 67 now. I'd kind of like to do it again but my Honey didn't really like it and would rather I didn't. He was sweet to go along with it the first time though. But I could tell he was just kind of tolerating my need to do something wild. My sisters were shocked I did it. And I think my kids might have been too. And maybe my grandkids. My daughter loved it. She was behind me 100%. And she got peacock colors in her hair the week before I got my purple. Oh...my life has been so tame. All my life. :) Til my purple streaks. Sigh......... :)

Jan.... I always loved seeing your changes along the years.... <3 @IntenseMagic

LOL @BevG I think I associate nose rings with Indian women so I only like them in them.....same as I'm not too keen on blonde/white women with typically African hair braiding (which some of you old enough to remember Bo Derek's time) so no nose piercings for me....

KIm...I want to see you as a red? did you post any photos? LOs?
Love the tatoo, don't think I ve seen any photos of it either...but understand if you don't want to show...
I have to agree with doing what make us happy....whatever it is.
I may not like what others wear, it may not be my thing to paint my walls yellow but most certainly can understand others .... I reckon that, once we have grown in life, educated our children with love, good values and honesty... whatever one does to one's body or house has to be what makes YOU happy......
I learned in my very intense and traveled life, meeting very different cultures and very alike mine...that no matter what, you cannot please everyone, but making yourself happy is vital for you to be able to love and be positive to others..... @scrapsandsass

@Jan ...you don't really look like an "old grandma" ... !!!! and I reckon the people who love you will always grow to love whatever you do to your hair... <3

too funny.. my brother got his first tattoo at 50, and he has about 4 or 5... his wife does not like tattoos .. LOL I too dislike tattoos... My nephew has a bunch.. ugh! re your listing of pink hair etc...

Here is your answer @AnneofAlamo:
1) get a short wig that you can dye pink. (This way you can wear it when you want and take it off and go back to "normal")
2) get clip on earrings - a small hoop to clip on your nose or ear, and then it is removable with no permanency.
3) get the rub ons for a temporary tattoo

This way you can still do these things for the temporary thrill and you still can paint the hallway Orange if you want, but I suggest a photo of your hallway, and use photo shop to paint it orange then it can also go back to normal color after you had your fun :)

Best of both worlds.. the temporary wild side and then the norm!! XO

This is great! I especially like the idea of photoshop-ing the hall orange. How clever for picking a room color.

that looks SO very painful ... but very cool. love the heart. (sadly, i can't wear any earrings at all. my ear lobes go nuts and get infected. even the good stuff. i miss being able to ear them!)

i say paint the hall way!

This! Ouch. Paint the hall... and scrap it!

I was just going to say, @AnneofAlamo be sure to scrap a before and after for the orange hall. I keep imagining mine orange (landlord would not approve). Don't think I could handle orange maybe a very light one. But I'd like to see.

Re that possible orange hallway...orange is a color that inspires movement. It was the reason it was chosen for McDonalds...get em in, and get em out. The little lunch room they gave 'the girls' where I first worked back in the 60s was painted orange. Lingering over lunch was not encouraged.

I love orange! with teal, and red and lime green..I just adore color! Brighter the better!

I like it too. It's growing on me. But the landlord isn't so open-minded. Right now we have bright blue (turquoise? aqua?) hallway and kitchen. She hated it. But it helped me survive the house and depression. It was very dark and uninspiring pale green/white before and it absorbed the light.
If I owned it, or even if I had the arm strength to paint again I might try something that wild. The house needed painting when we moved in so we were allowed to pick colors and do it ourselves. But too much work with two bad shoulders. You do have me thinking however.
