June's Personal Shopper List.

Ok, I seriously had a blast being your personal shopper last month.... so wanna do it again? Through out the month just post an ISO (in search of) kit or product or post a picture or pictures. I will then show you some options for products to either enhance or use for your page. I did my best last time to check your personal galleries to check your taste in kits to find something that I think you might like. I also gave some personal favorites just in case you want to think outside the box a bit. :giggle

In case you have no idea what I am talking about, here is May's thread.

Kellie,
I haven't forgotten about you... I am just waiting for the June BYOC to be reveal.

I have been looking for some mason jars so I can make salad like Peppermint. There don't seem to be any to be found here in Manila...

I'm also looking for the perfect kit for this photo:

But it has to be perfect, just as my photo is perfect. And it has to capture the happy memories of the beach with my parents. Any suggestions?

You are awesome Dalis! Seriously girl, you ought to start a business.

Thanks! I keep telling hubby I am missing my calling!

yes!!!!!!

ok, here is my image, see what you come up with:

She reminds me of my mom. hmmm... this is drawing me to Laurie Ann's store, I think. What's the story behind the doll, Cynthia?

yes!!!!!!

ok, here is my image, see what you come up with:

I am drawn to her gorgeous hair and eye color.
If you want to scrap it a bit on the modern side I would go this way:

Those elements are from the FEBRUARY BYOC, so anything fromt there might just enhanced this pic.
These next 2 are still from FEB BYOC, but have a bit of a vintage element to it.

Ok, now I think these feathers blended in a tone-to-tone way in the background would be dreamlike. (yes, I know don't quiet go with the "style" of the doll, but just go with me on this one. Once you blend those into the background and tone down the opacity and play with the different blending modes, you will be thanking me!)

Now, I don't know the story about her, but I love the color on this kit, I think the green will make her hair POP! The rolled flowers are just perfect too. (If the WA doesn't fit, just use everything but that or create some new ones!)

OK, Dalis...here's a hard one for you:

Saturday, I danced in a ballet recital....I'm in my forties and the last ballet recital I did was as a teenager...LOL! Do you think you could find some related kits for ballet or just dance in general? If it helps, we danced to a really cool instrumental version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow," and we wore different colors of tutus to go with that theme. My tutu was yellow, the other gals wore red and green. If you find something that works, I'd be thrilled!

I think I had a bit too much fun with this one! I wish I could see the pictures, just because I miss dancing so much!!!! So glad you are doing it again!

I would start with this, seriously this Word Art from CD just melted my heart: "She dances with all her heart!"

Now I think you could go with a Rainbow/Colorful theme thanks to the awesome music you had. I would do a background like this one from Jacque.

Of course, you must add some rainbows. I think this one looks best with that paper I just posted, but there are tons in the store.

Now if you want to go with a bit of a different look, I love this kit, it's girly, but not necessarily childish. It has some good WA.

Thanks, Dalis! I don't have all my pictures yet, because some of them are professional shots and the others I'm trying to get off of a video clip...right now I just have some candids we took after the recital. ;)

wOw Dalis, hermana, you really, really are missing your call...such a great eye for this!!!!!
not only you have picked stuff I would pick, but you have given me some ideas in here that I reckon will be great (if I can translate in the page LOL)
Story behind the doll:
Sarita always loved the porcelain dolls, she would stop at shops windows as early as 2 years old and tell me her dream was to have a collection, but they are extremely expensive here in London and when we moved to Brazil there wasn't much on offer as we lived in a very, very small village... but when we came back to London (she was 5) , and I split up with her dad, I promised myself I would give her the earth & more... but we had no money, lived for almost 2 months without heating, hot water, a cooker or a fridge, in bare concrete floors. The day we came to sign the contract for this place we live in now, on the way out we went by a shop that had
everything in the window, including a couple of porcelain dolls....and she loved this one (me too ) we went in to buy cant remember what now...but I remember asking the price just to see how far a dream it was....and the woman says £15... I , of course, bought it that very minute.... when we go out the store, Sarita looks again and she says mum, the lady got it wrong, lets go, run! I asked what it was all about, the fuss, but she just kept walking ahead so we came home.
when I opened the dolls box I saw what she meant: the doll was £75...the lady read the 7 as a 1.....
I paid with a card so if they wanted to find me they could...I waited...but they never did, so I guess God wanted Sarita to have it... :) it was the start of her collection, she has 80 something dolls now, and we are making a book about each of the dolls' story. :)

So I guess I have some gorgeous stuff to get started now!!!
you rock, thanks so much!!!!!

Oh, wow, that was sure meant to be!

Yay! Did any of the items you think might work? I know it's hard until you see the pictures. If they don't let me see some of the pics when you get them so I can find something that works. I know with the lighting and probably a black curtain it's hard to find stuff that works.

I think what you found for me will be awesome...those rainbow backgrounds especially are so smokin' cool! And that word art is perfect!I even might snag some of the kit items you found for others...it's so hard to choose...;). Thanks for all the effort you put in to finding it all.

Lorell,
So glad they will work, I seriously LOVE doing this. I wonder if I could find a personal shopper job for real? LOL!!!!

Dear Personal Shopper..I dare you ^__^ to find some steampunk kit (or similar).
I was challenged on an italian fb group to do something steampunk, and I'd like to show them some Lilypad wonders. And, they're all "traditional" scrappers, so I need to impress them with my digiwork ^__^

what do you have for me? do you have something?? ^___^ :woot

Not an ISO, but I wanted to say that I did finally buy the kit you suggested to me last month & plan on scrapping those B-A-B pictures this week.

Thanks again! :)

Fantastic idea, personal shopper, Dallis - I haven't an ISO for you yet but after reading May's and this month's forum, I've now a long wishlist and a few suggestions (for others) in my cart :)

Your welcome, if you do have an ISO, let me know, the personal shopper is here.

still looking... this one is tough... I found something but not sure exactly this is what you are looking it's more Goth than steampunk. There is a very fine gray line. LOL!!!

Again this is more goth than steam punk, but I think you could add it to make it work.
