JULY's Personal Shopper is here!

Here you go, a challenge for you.
I've yet to scrap this photo of Ryan from 2007 because I've yet to just find something that jumps out for me for it.

I think this page needs one of these papers as a background.

Now I love Jacque's paper piecing items and I love these baby food and splatters.

This alpha just looks as sticky as your little one, right?

Of course you might want to add some extra mess to that messy picture.

Those were my obvious choices, now start my not-so-obvious matches.
There is something about that messy boy and these ubber clean alphas that in my opinion need to happen together in a page.

Now for kits, they are not food or mess related, but something that I think will fit this picture perfectly and that you will use over and over.

I have a ton of July 4th parade photos. I need help finding multi photo temp - not sure I want to go double page or not...
Also need Americana/parade theme kit ideas. The colors are predominantly red/white/blue.

I think I might be biased with this first template, I LOVE IT, it comes in round corner (this one shown) or in straight corners.

I have been eyeing this one myself:

Then of course maybe you don't need a template but some cool multi frames, like this one:

I haven't forgotten about you, my parents are visiting and it's like having 2 toddlers in the house!

Dalis, WOW! You are amazing at this! I don't really have an ISO, well - I kinda do - but I don't really know how to word it but it really doesn't matter -- I will have absolutely no scrap budget for awhile because we are moving next month. But I wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed reading these threads! And I've found like 2 pages written of kits and stuff I need to buy now. So thank you for your hard work. You ROCK :)

BTW - Would you please come to Portland and help me find a mid-sized purse with a strap long and sturdy enough to go across my chest (I hate holding on to the handles). I'd love a funky one -- the stranger the better. Owls or chickens or robots on it would be awesome! But if we have to go with a normal purse, black, purple, green -- pretty much anything but orange. It has to be waterproof and around $20. I do not want a designer purse and all the discount stores Target, Fred Meyer (our local one) and yes, even wal mart, think purses for $40, $50 and at T and FM even $70 is ok. Not so much. Yeah. So, good Luck with that. LOL I've been looking for years. I keep buying purses at thrift stores and settling - and they break, are broken already and I'm like "oh I'll fix it" but I don't. So needless to say, I have 59,372 purses that are just hanging out doing nothing that I don't use but can't bear to part with. It's a sickness, really.

Sorry that was supposed to be a joke but it got away from me. LOL

Now back to your regularly scheduled - non - hijacked thread :)

LOL!!! btw. I love checking the clearance at TJMaxx and in my local supermarket (Meier). About 6 months ago they had the funkiest purses EVER for like $22 in clearance from $60. They were funky/colorful and had 2 straps for you to interchange.

Oh man! That's just my luck! We don't have TJ Maxx here, I don't think. But at Ross which is like TJ Maxx supposedly all their purses are really expensive to start with so they are like a million, trillion dollars after the discount. Or like around $30. That's too much to pay for a purse. Especially if I already have 40,000. And get this. My sister gave me a little black Coach bag and I lost it! Well, maybe it's here somewhere...My only designer bag EVER. And it's gone. This is why I can't have nice stuff. LOL I was so scared to tell her. She's like it's ok. I got it on ebay for $10. I'm like whew!!

I mean...yes. that kit would work perfectly. Thank you. ;)

Dalis!!! I could use your help! I want to finish up an album about all this stuff I did in 2011 and I can't seem to get the right kits. Most of the stuff I find that could work with these topics is too cutesy.
I have lots of photos from New York's Natural History Museum - from dino bones to native artifacts to animal dioramas. And I also have lots of pics from a Renaissance faire. I'm looking to do two pagers. Let me know if you think of anything!

Natural History Museum.
I agree we have mostly "cute" kid oriented Dinosaur kits, but this one I think it's a great example of a kit that can be built into a "grown up" page.

You could also look into some of your halloween kits and see if you have a few bones or pieces of skeletons to add as "filling" elements.
Like this:

For the Renaissance faire, I have a few selections that may not be themed for that, but I think they are perfect match.
Starting with this one by Sahlin Studio,

Now this one is a more modern approach and colors.

On this one, the beer, the sword, the shield, the buttons.

I can't remember if you are in the PL bandwagon or not, but these I think are super simple, but very easy to incorporate into a grown up page.

Ok, this one is totally cutesy but I love it, so I had to add it here.

I am a purse addict too Johanna, so I totally understand! I had the cutest silver purse the other day in my hand and at the end of the day I didn't get it, because I didn't need one, even though I had earned it that week with my parents home.

Wow, Dalis! You are amazing!!!!!! These are all so great - and I even have some of them in my stash! :)

Dalis, I got 4 pages done this weekend using your recommendations! I'm finally almost done with my album. Just need to make a cover and get all the pages ready for Shutterfly! Don't think I'd ever would have finished without you. :)
