Hello hello!!!! welcome to the second week of July's Muse!
Hope everyone is well and enjoying your scrap time!
We have been having some serious trouble with Sarita's health (my daughter) which is why I haven't been very communicative, but here we are now and, as always, Lisa's ideas bring so much beauty to her master pieces and inspire us to make our own!!!! So, let's follow the path.
I have always voiced my passion for us scrap[p9ing ourselves, many of us who love taking photos are usually behind the camera, but I reckon we need to document ourselves for , not just the generations to come know who we are, but ourselves discovering the marvel of putting heart and mind into a page....
In case you ha ve just arrived, each week in the month of the July you are required to use the given word prompt. This week your word prompt is:
Be-You-tiful
As in the previous week, we are making this week also a very personal interpretation, you can use the word on a way that means the most to you..... the ideal would be that we scrap about what we feel is beautiful on us (as the July theme revolves around the "YOU") you can scrap about what you think is beautiful of yourself, what is that makes a loved one beauty, a place, something that means beautiful big time in your heart or mind, or life, the beauty of something you made that is the sample of beauty, let your heart show us your experience of beautiful in a be- YOU- tiful way! The minimum requirement is that the word Be-You-tiful shows up at least once on your page. You may use Be-You-tiful as the title, as word art, blended into the background or embedded into your journaling.
In my case, I have made a page about one of the most important lessons on learning to love ourselves, Patricia V. Davis, a marvellous North American writer shows us in her book , The Diva Doctrine, how we are always a lot more beautiful than what we think we are.... : just grab an old photo, try remember the way you felt then..... and, at least in my case...it was . I remember for years and years, feeling I wasn't beautiful, I'm small, "petite" have a LOT of hair which at some point would remind you of Cousin It, didn't like nothing about my physical appearance, but 10 years on, looking at that photo, with Sarita telling me how beautiful I was...and I saw it, I was probably more than 10 times more beautiful than what I thought I was.... of course, now, at almost 64, am not worried either way, but if we can teach our children to be confident about themselves, and be kind, spread love....it makes for a better world
I wanted to do a more personal page, will see if I can manage, but for now, here are the rules, hope you enjoy it!!!!
Challenge Requirements:
1. For the Monthly Muse, you may create any style of layout (i.e., clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc.), with or without a photo. Create any size page you wish. The Art Muse is for everyone; have FUN!
2. You can use any products in The Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines).
3. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE by Midnight, 01 AUG 2022 and post your layout in this thread by copying the "Share BB Code" to the right of your gallery image.
Each post, regardless of the week posted in the month of July earns you one chance to win a $5 coupon to the TLP store. Thus,
1 Muse = 1 chance to win
2 Muses = 2 chances to win
3 Muses = 3 chances to win
4 Muses = 4 chances to win
4. Use the word Be-You-tiful on your layout.
