I have 2009 to scrap, and 2008 for that matter! hahah....puh lenty of photos and I was a mad blogger then too...so I have the journaling and such...can you help a completely digi girl start this?
this is what I have done so far:
printed out a 2009 calendar
freaked out cause the year starts with Thursday??? what the heck?
went and looked at templates for doing an 8.5 X 11 book
freaked out a bit more at the diversity of templates
googled PL digital
went into coma of over dose?
I know I want pictures, a bit of journaling and some journal cards, I am not as much into the snazzy all match, but would like some cohesiveness to the book?
I am seriously sucking air in and out, trying not to hypervenilate....

Small tiny steps hun... or I could just give you a push, but I think small tiny steps is a good first approach.

I think I'm going to try something like PL Summer 2013, just to see how I like it and if I think I can manage a whole year of it.

Considering I'm failing at P365 and I have pre-made pages for it, I'm not overly hopeful. It's gonna be more like "iPhone Photos of Stuff I Ate 2013" at this point.

well, I opened Amy's free things I got last month from her fb. I have January done picture wise.
I did 5 weeks, with two ?inserts? I think they are called, I just called it week 4 A! but I am gonna fill the year up with that and then go in with journal cards and add them as I can and then journal?
I am just thinking I am gonna have to do them 12x12 cause the photos and print will be too small? kwim?
Not a fan of 12x12, specially 70 plus book is gonna be boo koo spensive?

dear Anne... there are no rules to Project Life... don't worry about doing weekly... here's what I'm doing for my past years

1) get printed and put them into sleeves in chronological order (for you that would be just opening up your photos and putting them into the templates

2) add journaling cards and journal the stories

3) any blank slots... add filler cards

4) done and enjoy (for you that would be get printed and put in album, then enjoy)

easy, peasy :)

and if I feel motivated to make it fancy, I'll put some washi tape and stuff like that in there...

and we can totally do it!!! I bought the HSN Becky Higgins Jade Edition so that I can do this... and I'm not doing weekly, just however I can get it done and get my old photos out of the boxes... or my previous years after going digital, printed and off the computer LOL

I've also got some albums from Mark's Grandma and I'm working on a heritage album, and I'm wanting to get a wedding/honeymoon album done... and I'm working on Asher's Baby Book and I still have some pages to finish up 2012 and get that album printed LOL... and I'm finding that the interwebs are distracting, so I turn it off from 9-3 during the week days and I'm having my kids help me organize my photos and memorabilia :)

oh I am rather excited, and my hubs said, yes! we need the previous years done! go for it! I'll back ya $$ bhahah
I love it so far, and what fun to look back on the old photos of my babies!

I have completed 4 years of project 365. Yes, I still continue to take photos every single day. (my iphone) is great for that purpose as I always have it with me.

For the past 2 years I have found to keep one template and just rotate and flip it around each week and I'm doing it more like project life adding more journaling. This really helps to stay on top of it. But if I was behind I would start with one template and just keep plugging in your photos. Maybe doing a monthly page instead of weekly. Then just use journaling cards to journal. It may help to do all your photos first and save your template and then when you feel like journaling go back and add the journaling. Don't forget to save save save as you go. Also helps to have a calendar handy so you can cross off the weeks as you complete them. Good luck.

Yes to one template!! And I printed a 2009 calendar, I love seeing these photos too... I am having a blast very addicting but what size font do you use? I usually print 10x10

I have been doing p365 for three years now. I am having the same problem you are. Where do I start? I have so many different templates/journaling cards, that I think I am just overwhelmed with all the possibilities. I narrow it down, and then I see something else that sparks my imagination, and then I abandon my first idea. Meanwhile nothing gets done. It is quite frustrating.

Yay Anne!! I love this project so much! Having the little things documented is so special!

I see what you mean! For me, I am somewhat the same and that's why each week in my album is entirely different from the first, apart that I journal in black on all pages. :) Maybe you could just allow yourself to experiment one week at a time?

I REAAAALLLY need to do this too! I have PL 2011 and 2012 started but not finished. Must. Fix. That. But as I am still four weeks behind on 2013, I'm thinking I'm not quite to the catch-up point. yet. I WILL get there. Eventually.

Yes, I agree, it's just baby steps. Focus on the photos you want to get in there. Tell the stories. Fill in with filler cards where you need them.

What she said!!

I keep thinking that I might start and then I get scared of the commitment and inevitable failure of the project (what can I say, I am a slacker!) but you guys do make it sound lots of fun too!

thinking .... thinking ....

I don't do project life (my life is way too boring and I've rarely got either my phone or camera with me when I'm out and about). Plus like Amanda, I'm scared of setting myself up for failure. I was going to do photo a day and only managed two days (though not helped by the fact that my christmas and new year was spent in bed with flu).
