I need jeans. I have two pair that fit me that I live that are old and getting worn out. They are Tommy Hilfiger Hope jeans which I think were the best jeans in my opinion for hippy chubby gals like me. They are stretchy and a bit bigger in the thighs. I was so sad when they were discontinued.

Now I am trying to find a good substitute. I should clarify now meaning the past several years. I still haven’t found any yet.

Hollister is currently having a sale and I am thinking about trying them out. (I belong to a freebie/sale group on Facebook and they posted about it). Looks like you can get two pairs for around $40. Anyone have any experience with these jeans?

Anyone love their jeans and have recommendations?

All my jeans are American Eagle. I have both skinny and flare, and I love them. I have had some from Old Navy as well, but I don't like them quite as much. They don't seem to have the same stretch. I haven't tried any others for years. I don't buy jeans very often at all and only when they are on sale lol. I'm a little picky because I'm super short-waisted and all the real high-rise jeans are miserably uncomfortable on me. It's like the waist band almost touches my bra haha. I have to buy mid or low rise and they have been hard to find.
That sounds like a great deal on the Hollister jeans. I've never tried them but I might have to check them out!

I don't think you have a Dillard's where you live @weaselwatchr , but I got two pairs of jeans at the end of March that were on sale. One brand was Code Bleu and the other was Silver Jeans Co. They are both plus size, stretch just the right amount, and fit great. I think you could probably find the brands second hand on Posh Mark or at their sites. I've also gotten a couple of jean shorts from the brand Democracy at TJ Maxx, but they also have a web site. Good luck! Finding comfy jeans/jean shorts is so hard!

I'm not much help, since I'm on the less curvy side. I order JCPenney online since I need tall sizes. I mainly have their St John's Bay store brand. I think I have some Lee as well. Kaylee also orders talls, mainly from American Eagle. Most of their styles are distressed, but they do have a few that aren't.

I've seen people say that Old Navy Rock Star jeans are great for a wide variety of sizes/figures, but I haven't tried them myself.

The Hollister sale definitely sounds like a great deal. Do they have a store near you where you could go try them on? It seems like jeans are one of the hardest things to fit. I know people who make an entire day of going to a mall and just trying on every variation they can to find ones they like. Since so few places stock talls in their stores, I don't really have that option, so I just order an abundance from places that have a good/easy return policy.

Kohls has good prices on jeans especially if you have the savings coupons.. you can order on line too.. I usually get the Gloria Vanderbilt "Amanda" style.

Oh, you have to try Democracy! They are amazing! I now own many pairs after Stitch Fix sent me one pair, lol! They have "Ab-Solution" jeans, and they are made to fit different bodies, and have a stretchy panel inside to flatten and smooth my lumps, lol! NO gap in the back, a little stretch to the denim, and so much more!

Take a peek at them: https://democracyclothing.com/pages/absolution

LOVE THEM! I do think they have some that are Try Before You Buy on Amazon. Be careful, I did that and ended up with 4 more pairs of jeans.

I don't buy long jeans anymore except Democracy ABsolutions. They have any "cut" you like and are SO comfy. I can't stand anything tight around my waist. My favorites are "itty bitty boot cut". I did just get some jean shorts that I really like - they're "distressed" - KanCan is the brand and they're stretchy too.

I've been wearing Lee's women jeans for years. As long as I can remember. My favorite style these days is the Midrise Boot Cut. They have just the right amount of stretch denim for me. I've had some styles in the past that stretched way too much and became saggy. This Lee style doesn't... at least on me.

I have also in the past bought really cheap jeans from Wal-Mart. They were a lighter weight fabric and were good for summer at work. Now those jeans are my "work around the house don't care if they get dirty" jeans. The Lee are my go to for when I go out.

Great.. I guess I need to go down the jeans rabbit hole and check out these Ab"solution jeans... sounds right up my alley. :giggle

I have several pairs of these jeans from Kohls. They are Nine West and are usually $40, but they have sale quite often. I will say even without a sale, they are totally worth it. I have a big booty and thick thighs too and these things are super stretchy and comfy. The photos show them super tight, but mine aren't like that when I get the size that fits me. They feel like wearing jammies, but also look super cute. :agree
