January 9: White on White Page

Thank you for this challenge!! It was so awesome. I found it hard and frustrating, but all in a good way! I absolutely loved seeing how the shadowing made everything look so brilliant. I think my favourite part of this is the two patterned papers. I desatuated them, colour selected then removed the white areas, then lightened the rest, added a shadow, and BOOM! Patterns without colour. Who knew!

I'm usually all about color, so this was a first for me! Very cool! Thanks, Em!

this was much harder than it s hould be - recolorng tutorial never worked ( turned gray not white ) but luckily found a snow kit with a couple of white elements and paper
I’m so sorry you felt this way @zanthia. The tutorial I shared was exactly how I was able to turn coloured elements white so not sure why it didn’t work for you :( such a shame. I am so glad you found a kit that worked in the end though. :)

After posting this, I'm noticing that a few of my elements and papers look less "white" here than they do in my program... same computer. Hope this meets the guidelines :)

Thats been the hardest part of this challenge because everyones monitors are going to show differently. Yours is fine so no need to worry :) hehe

MOC7 - Jan 9 - White on White

I hope it has enough white. This was a challenge for me as I like a pop of color!

The background paper, stitches, ric rac ribbon and alpha are original; the rest of the embellishments were "bleached" by me. I kept it simple because I'm not comfortable making these sorts of changes. :) (However, that's part of what MOC is about -- seeing what I'm missing outside of my comfortable box! LOL)

Such a creative challenge. Seems like it would be easy to use just one color...but not so much. I really enjoyed this challenge and learning how to recolor elements. Thank you!!
