January 24: Tell A Conversation with Speech Bubbles

Fun challenge! Thanks for the speech bubble freebie :D

I love this. My first Christmas I was three months old, but being the first grandchild on both sides of the family I was given a doll crib and a bunch of dolls. Mom snapped a photo of my lying in that doll crib with my new baby dolls.

this came at the perfect time, I have a text convo from last night with mike and the kids. I'll be back. So I numbered the convos and changed colors starting with Dad.

I might change which speech bubbles I use then, if they are roughly square or rectangle I should be ok but of course I chose the more challenging ones
For the ones you want to use, you could try just centering the text, which might fit your bubble better.

I'm going to link a video to a great tutorial (if a bit long) on fitting text into shapes. It's a long video, but essentially, you draw the shape over your space, then immediately make a text layer above that shape and it will snap to the shape. No affiliation on the video - it's just the one that taught me how to do it and I refer back to it when I need a refresher. It's really pretty simple though.

Of course I've picked speech bubbles that have more of an uneven bubble shape (the ones under the frame by the ask me anything word art) to work with from this kit

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make type look good within them? I've often shied away from typing in anything that isn't a true square or rectangle because I just don't know how to

I don’t use photoshop, but what I do is create my text in separate lines if I need it to fit in a certain shape, or to center it.
I also use a font with less spacing between the words, that helps with lining things up.

What was said: Daughter: 'Mom - Legit, do you think we're going to be able to get out of here. I mean it was really sketchy and your tires aren't in the best shape. I'm Kinda scared, how are we going to be able to get out of here?'
Me: 'No problem Baby, we'll be fine, just say some prayers, God will protect us, I think it'll be fine. We'll make it, have faith!'
What I was thinking; "OMG! I can’t believe I actually endangered my child’s life trying to come up here in the snow, how thoughtless, I feel terrible, Please God let us get out of here in one piece! Seriously, I promise I will never go anywhere without chains and traction tires ever again, please God help us to navigate back home in one piece. Thank you God!"
PS. We got out of there, had to go a different way, but we got out of there and we had a heck of an adventure that day, I told my daughter; 'well you wanted to start the year off with a bang and boy did we!!' $1300 later, nice traction tires!

fun challenge. I might need to use this more often to capture conversations. Parts of this occurred over texts and the final bit was actually in person . . .

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but it hasn't been asked: If you have a screen capture of an exact conversation, can you use the iPhone text bubbles?

This was a text conversation after my single daughter sent us a picture of the sign in the leaves. My only married daughter cracked us up with her contribution to the conversation.

I used the provided conversation bubbles from Paula Kesselring, and everything else is from the "Scenic Route" elements, papers and templates by Pink Reptile Designs.
