I went ahead and chose a different layout....but just in case someone else has the same question:

I found a page in the Polly gallery that I wanted to lift.

But hers was a lift from a member who isn't a Polly. Allowable or no?

    Thanks! <3

Is it ok to lift a LO that was made with a template?

I would say no, it should be an original layout that’s lifted

We have allowed templates on lifts in the past, and I see some have already lifted layouts with templates. So instead if penalizing those who finished before this was clarified we will allow them. If you can find one that isn’t a template page that would be preferred though

Ugh - Ok. I have found 4 layouts that were screaming at me to scraplift, but they were all templates. I can't in good conscience use them now that you've clarified. Back to the gallery I go!

This is way hard! I'm up to page 35 and still going. I don't tend to scrap lift, my style is very different to most designers. I've enjoyed going out of my comfort zone and doing all the other challenges so far, even the scary ones! :) But, this is the hardest one for me so far!

Okay, edited to say, I found one on page 40 something. SO how do I do this 'link' thing. That's the thing that has me most challenged! This is the one I want to scrap lift. :)
    YOU MAKE ME HAPPYwombat146

Oh, is this how, is it that easy? Did I do it?

It’s okay! Most of the time folks alter a template anyway :)

Just have to stop and say I both love and hate scraplift challenges—I've been sitting at my desk for over an hour, and have almost a dozen tabs open so far. Y'all are some wicked talented people.

This is one of my favorite challenges! I love a good scraplift - it really helps me try something different :-)

I found one that used a template, but I don't even recognize it from the store. I think I'll use that one. Sounds like it's ok to do so if it's pretty altered?

I added some information and hope that helps you with your questions.
Scraplifting should be fun and I personally find it very inspirating to "stroll" through a gallery to find a layout, my hardest thing is to decide which page to lift!
Our Pollywog Gallery has so many wonderful pages in all styles!

@Genniejoy you can scraplift in your style, so I would say the Scraplift Challenge is very easy...

After 5 mins in the gallery I had 5 layouts bookmarked for this challenge, and decided to get ou of that gorgeous gallery before I got overwhelmed by choices.
I'm still learning about clustering, so I scraplifted this photo cluster by @scrappydonna

Here's mine. I might have gone slightly overboard with scatters. :D

I scraplifted KittyY's Greatest Blessings because it reminded me I have this awesome template but hadn't used it yet, and I like how she put paint behind it.

I didn't see this - to scraplift a page created with a template is o.k. but it's preferred that you do your own layout
when I picked the layout to scrap. Apparently it was added after I'd started working on this.

I don't really have a style as such, I just like to use a lot of photos not one, that's harder for me. I've been doing it though and I found one. The harder problem is probably about choice! :) Can you tell me, Do I just have to copy the person's username and their page name and add as the link, or do you want the page on with our page? Just double checking as people have already done one or the other.
