I don't really do art journaling and to be honest I REALLY don't like bobbleheads. But here's mine featuring my youngest daughter at work. As the journaling says, "In America we make bobblehead figures of sports heroes, iconic and political figures because we admire them. I think we need bobbleheads of the real heroes like the nurses who work so hard and long to care for us when we can’t do it for ourselves. They aren’t funny in any way - they are superheroes!" Credits in the gallery.
Oh Lisa, this was soooo much FUN! At first I didn't think I'd want to make a bobblehead and then I found the turkey photo and knew I just had to make my hubby into a bobblehead! He's such a turkey and loves silly stuff like this! Thanks for the great challenge!
I tend to associate "big-headed" with arrogance, thence "It's all about me" ;-) Unexpected benefit: tapering neck to meet shoulders eliminated a double chin!
the most difficult part of this was actually getting the snapshot of the cat. Every time I try to take a pic of her sitting she walks toward me to get pets.
Originally I wanted to use a photo of our snow today for the background, but it just looked weird, lol!
I made the Snow Happy one for this challenge's qualification.
I made the second one for MORE fun.
Woulda loved to animate it, but the cold snap ( high of 36!) we are having is making me tired. This was SUCH A GREAT CHALLENGE!!!!
I had no idea what photo to use for this and when I stumbled on this page I wanted to make anyway, I knew this photo would make a super funny bobblehead! I love how this turned out.
Hopefully this is ok, I really struggled with using photos for this. They just looked so wrong to me haha. So decided to go with a page for my art journal as a reminder to look after myself too.
