Here's mine, thanks for the tutorial - I could actually follow it on my PhotoShop Elements 5!! Usually the tutorials bear no resemblance to what I can see! I could also edit my photo in CraftArtist as per @MrsPeel 's help but I preferred the results from PSE. Here's my original photo - I hope its ok that I used a different one in my LO
This was super fun Jenn - I would totally do this technique again. Thank you so much for a really easy-to-follow tutorial! (And I forgot to send myself the original photo to work for uploading - will get that in here tonight! Same photo that's overlayed onto my mosaic though ...)
Wow, this was tough! Not the challenge itself (thanks to the comprehensible directions!!) but to include the mosaic into the layout. I guess I just chose the wrong picture for that, as I want the focus to be on the sharp photo but it gets drawn to the mosaic. Probably shouldn't've made that one bigger than the photo. D'uh. Oh well.
Here is my image I used for the technique. A panorama of the frozen pond! And my page. Thanks for the great challenge (and the reminder ).
What an absolutely FUN FUN FUN technique!!! Had a ball with this!! Only thing is, I didn't pay attention to the directions and only used the 6 hex shapes, which fell short of the 1/4th rule. So back to the drawing board and added a strip of my geo. paper across the middle of my layout. Here is the photo I used. And here is my layout:
Hope this is ok - my entire background is the mosaic photo but I added a blending style that obscures it a bit. my original photo is also on the page - but I'll be back to insert it here. @jk703 here's my photo - not sure why it isn't showing the actual photo, but the link works.
that was rather fun, my take number ...teen Do you really want the photo again separately? It is rather big there right in the middle, I loved seeing the pages of the people who used the same mosaic as the photo they scrapped, so in the end I did the same thing.
This technique is so cool that I decided to play with it some more and see if I could find a way to get a better result in Artisan. I think the difference is choosing a different photo with lots of color contrasts like this one: I like the resulting mosaic much better.
