January 16: Off-Center Focus (Photography Challenge)

Well looking through my photos shows me that I take lots of vertical photos with the person in the middle as close as I can get to them. lol I need to expand my awareness of how I take pictures. Thanks for the challenge. This is an older photo and it was blurry so I used an oil painting filter on it.

I rarely ever take photos like this, but I like the idea. I don't know how you all keep coming up with new challenges, but I really like them, I'm loving thinking about and completing them. (This being my first time.) My only challenge being, I keep having to spend money to buy more kits as I am new to TLP! (My birthday being two days ago and the sale you just had, so I could justify buying my birthday presents of kits, helped though!) Hee hee! :D
@Genniejoy So glad you're enjoying your first MOC!!!! Getting scrappy kits for your birthday is a wonderful gift!

For the purposes of this challenge, I guess I best pick a photo I've taken, rather than one my husband took. :D

ummmm so far in the photos I've got bookmarked to use for MOC all my photos are the close ups. I have followed the rule of thirds in most of them, but it's not obvious. Maybe I'll browse through some other photos later or just take a new one.
@Angela Remember that you can also crop a photo in editing to create an off-centered subject if an orginal photo hasn't filled up the whole frame. Hope that helps.

I am out of $, I wish I could buy more, I need lots of new stuff to complete the challenges, keep using the oldies I have
@KarenK Don't forget, you can recolor, resize, etc so maybe that'll help stretch your supplies. That's one of the beauties of digi scrapping!

Hal just laughed when I took a picture of my new tires yesterday. I crouched down low, LOL! Thanks for the great challenge!

I shot this a few days ago at Toys R Us. I wanted to get all the wonderful toys in the shot along with my son. I'm sure in 30 years this photo will be interesting to look at, with all the "vintage" toys!

I thought for sure I'd be stressing today, trying to find something to get a good snap of. Turns out I have all kinds of good off-centered pictures. The hardest part was picking one (and talking myself out of buying another kit or two :-)

But the best part is I'm going to make my sister cry some happy tears with this :-D

1. Use a photo that is off center / rule of thirds

This photo is another one of Shelby's for the "use items not in their normal use" - Batman is using a 'rope' to climb up the fridge....
