JANUARY 14: Drop Caps (big letter for first paragraph)

Hello everyone, and welcome to day 14 of MOC 2026.

Today, I want to immerse myself in the world of fairy tales and novels, where XXL initials herald the start of a new chapter and a new adventure.

Here are some examples of letters. The text is written in French, but it's just to show you some ideas.

Don't worry, I'm not asking you to write an essay or a novel, but I would like a short journal entry of at least five lines, with the first letter larger than the rest of the paragraph.

Your first letter can be as large as you like but it must be equal to or greater than at least two lines of text.
You can keep it simple as in the first example, but you can also let your imagination run wild and use embellishments or stamps.
Have fun with this letter !

You can, of course, use an alpha (https://the-lilypad.com/store/alphas/).

The theme of your journaling is up to you ; you can write about whatever you like provided that there are at least 5 lines.
The photo is not mandatory.

I used a similar font to the one in the logo used in the brand my son works with, and clipped a graphic of a vinyl record album over it. I thought I'd put the headset on the capital letter, but the funny thing is, I never see him with a headset on in his studio videos! LOL

This little story (by me) is 100% about my daughter, she is attending Johns Hopkins and she is so driven, I try to encourage her all the time, to stop & enjoy life, because I believe it's all about the journey, not the destination. She is such a cool person, so is her identical twin, who is not as driven, but definitely goal oriented. Sadly I did not see the alpha included in the collection until after my page was done or I would have used that for the drop cap, I used the font: Acorn Initials for the drop cap & another typewriter for the journaling.
