Hey There Jenn...

Thank You For This...I Tried To Do This & I Created A Box & Size But The Layer Didn't Go To The Right Place...In Fact None Of The Layers Went To The Right Place & When I Tried To Move Them Nothing Happened...

Honestly...I Don't Understand This At All...And I Don't Understand The Next Step At All Either...You Have To Create Another Layer?...Type In Your Text?...I'm A Visual Person & I Need To See Someone Do This Otherwise I Will Probably Never Get This...I Guess I'm Not Gonna Complete MOC This Time Around...I'm Just Too *** To Understand This...This Is The Reason I Didn't Want To Deal With Photoshop In The First Place...I Figured One Day A Challenge Would Come Along That I Couldn't Do...This Isn't Fun Anymore...I'm Already Sick & Now My Anxiety Has Kicked In & I'm In A Bad Place...So Sad...Thanks So Much For Trying To Help Me Anyway Jenn...I Never Thought This Would Happen Really But I Guess It Did...But I Adore You For Trying To Help Me...:beat...:cry

Used one layer (duplicated and flipped to become symmetrical) from one template of Lynn Grieveson's Fade Out and Torn Templates as a mask. Used this soft edge on top shape instead of a hard edge rectangle for clipping.

I followed the tutorial in the challenge post. Photo extends to the top of the letters in HAWAII. The only difference is the upper edge is soft instead of hard. I didn't care so much for my attempts with the hard edge shape with this photo. I can post that one if this is not acceptable.

The Chesterton quote on the bottom is merely P22 Cezanne font in orange sampled from photograph.

And here is the version with the hard edge font and image:

The hard edge one meets the challenge requirements! Thanks for uploading that one for me! Both are gorgeous!

This one took a few tries, mainly because as soon as I saw the challenge I thought oh, how easy. Which it was, once I thought to leave a few extra pixels on the bottom of the photo :-D
Great challenge, great fun.

RJMJ I will help you so you can complete the challenge.

@RJMJ It is really very simple.. don't get scared.

With any software you are using make a rectangle. Fill in with color. On your next layer in a good chunky font write your title. Adhere that next to and touching the rectangle so they are one. Merge them together. Now take your photo and place above your new shape created from the rectangle and the word and place over it and use the shapeword as a cookie cutter for your photo. Once you have done all that, decorate your page as normal.
