I love the slanted strips of paper with the words written on them. I chose the same template for mine.

I LOVE scraplifts - almost as much as I love templates :)
Here's the original page... I knew immediately it was THE ONE when I saw it and what picture I was using for my scraplift:

And here's mine:

This is the one I chose. I chose it because I liked the way the sides draw your attention to the picture in the corner.

And here is mine, using Yeehaw! - Cowgirl by Kristin Aagard Designs.

My page was influenced by this one of Tronesia’s… I loved the flowing downward lines in her page, though this photo of some dear friends meant flipping the whole thing 90 degrees I am thrilled with the resulting page that has my own special take on the lifted page.

And yes the photo was cropped like that when I got it…

Well, I thought I posted the page I was going to lift, so if I am in here twice...sorry!
Here's mine.

I loved her bright colors and tried learning from the lift.

Love her gallery! Here is the one I chose to scraplift.

And here's mine! (I made it bigger than I normally do because the pictures were small.)

I'll be lifting this one...

ETA: here's my LO!

Looking through Tronesia's gallery, I fell in love with all her text blocks/shapes, etc. I decided to play with these myself... I still have a lot to learn about text paths/selections/shapes, but I'm happy with this result. I looked to google to show me some videos, but in the end, it took several tries to get it right. I could use some tips still. :giggle
So anyway. For this scraplift, I focused on the fact that her page had a quote inside the text. I didn't have a picture to go with this story, but it reminded me of this story so I told it, without a photo :D <3

Here's my take:

It was hard to pick just one, but I finally settled on this one............ love how the focus is on the upper right corner of the page.

and my take on it:
