Or is anyone else totally addicted to templates lately. Escpecially here at the Lilypad. The template makers here have really been rockin' it latley. I just find that my time is very limited lately and the templates are really helping me get my pages done with my own personal twist to them... a big fat thank you to you fab template makers out there. Does that make me a phony???? ;)

well, i've never ever been a template fan (funny, huh?) but lately, that's the only way i scrap ... at least use 'em as a starting point.
 
Yeah, that's exactly what I mean! They're such a great starting point. I always end up changing something! :)
 
Um....yes! I have been addicted to them from day one though - I like to "cheat" that way as some people say. The great thing is though, that I am pretty "caught up" in my albums and I LOVE that! I always suggest that people start with templates when I teach them!
 
I love templates too, and i completely don't think it makes you a phony, Renee! :) It is funny because sometimes I can use a template almost exactly like the designer designed it, or change things around so you can't even tell what it was originally--definitely a jumping off point! and i always encourage people to start with templates too, it just helps you get used to working with layers, I think.
 
I am exactly the same way! I remember a while back telling someone that I didn't 'understand' templates. I couldn't figure out why people used them and I thought it took the fun out of making a layout. Well now I hardly scrap without one. I loooove using templates now and the ones from here are absolutely awesome!
 
Me too - I love templates! And they have some rocking ones in the store here my must have list is full of them!
 
i love templates to i struggle to start off a page so a template helps so bring on the templates they rock
 
oh - my template addiction is so bad i almost need an intervention! LOL! the other day - i made myself spend a few hours and make some templates for myself - haha - so at least a few of my pages would be completely my own work - LOL- but i HAD to make templates before i could do a page - hahaha - i couldn't just 'scrap' without a plan in front of me ... !

ok - waaaaaaay too many hahas and LOLs in there .... sorry!
 
Templates are a gift from the Gods for me lately. Someone said to me the other day, about white space templates, "Well couldn't you have just thought of that?"

Umm, no. I couldn't. LOL I couldn't even think of my phone number the other day when someone asked me for it out of the blue. I had to call home from my cell phone just to see the number.

I used to not use templates because in the past they were usually for big, multi-photo layouts. But minimalist templates? I"m all over them. Amy Martin's are straight up my alley because I feel like I can get my basics down with them and then if I want to fancy it all up, there's plenty of opportunity.
