iPhone user: Hipstamatic or Instagram?

So I've been using Hipstamatic for a while now and have scrapped with quite a few photos from that but for those of you who have Instagram or have used both, which do you prefer?
 
I use both...probably Instagram more just because I can preview my photos with the presets before I save and post.

Instagram photos are great if you want to scrap lots of little pics in one page...my online scrappy friend Shannon is planning on using only her Instagram photos for her Week In The Life project.
 
i used to only use hipstamatic... but now i really only use instagram. i like that i have an original copy as well as an edited one. if hipsamatic updated to where you could save an unedited copy i would probably switch to that. because then if i didn't like the hipstamatic version, i could just stick it in instagram. hehe.
 
I've only used Instagram. I have Hipstamatic loaded, but I'm having a hard time figuring it all out.
 
Debra, so you have all the different packs you can buy. and they give you different effects. well, everything gives you a different effect. so you could use film a with flash b and lens c to get one style of photo. or you could use film a with flash b and lens d to get a different look to the photo. kinda like this:

if you go through my 365 (up to like day 139 i used hipstamatic) you can see some different effects. crystal posts hipstamatic photos that tell you the info like lens, flash, and film. and finally, this may be a good page to check out as it has each lens, flash, and film. http://wiki.hipstamatic.com/index.php?title=Camera_Gear so thats part of the fun of it... to mix and match and get what you like. :)

I personally loooove hipstamatic, but I was using that before instagram so I just stuck with that. I would also recommend swanko lab which you can use to just edit photos so then you do have the original still and the edited one. I really like it! :)
 
i use instagram cuz it's fast and easy... hipstamatic confuses me... i don't have time to think that much BEFORE taking a shot.. if you could manipulate the shots AFTER the fact like in instagram, i'd def. dig that!
 
oh! I should say that I don't think about Hipstamatic at all. I just shake it and put it all on random take a shot or two and shake it again. :)
 
Instagram has about 15 or so presets that you can apply to your photo after you take it or upload one from your phone...plus it's free :) Hipstamatic you have to pay for...though they occasionally have freebies :)

Ok, I downloaded Instagram and took two photos and then closed the app. When I went back the photos were gone. So I have to save them before closing the app or is there a place they are stored within the app?
