I am sure a ton of you have messed with these, but I hadn't done much with them and usually turned the feature off..the little symbol bugged me. Turn that live feature on!

These photos can be a wonderful nugget of memories. I lost my mother suddenly last week, after four months of going from hospital to nursing home. She fell and broke her hip and then went into respiratory distress.

She never liked having her picture taken, but I convinced her (and snuck a little) to let me take a few pictures over the last few months. I mentioned to my roommate that I wish I had taken video of her. Just to hear her voice.

As I was going thru my phone, I happened to just "try" to see if one of them was a live photo and I had several. They aren't perfect, but they are memories that I will cherish forever. One of them is this one where she is giving me kisses. I cried when I found it.

Awww... so sweet! I don't have this available to me on my version of iPhone - yet. I will have to remember to leave this active when I do eventually! :)

Katrina, that is amazing - and (in my opinion) no accident that those precious moments were captured on your phone! Sending you continued prayers and lots of cyber hugs!!

I'm so very sorry for your loss. ((HUGS))

I keep the "live" feature on on my phone. You never know what you'll end up with. :)

Is this something on the newest iPhone? I have an iPhone 6 and I don't know what you're talking about, but I could have just not noticed it.

Hugs to you Katrina :heartlub

Katrina, I am usually one of those that turns it off and I am going to change that! What a gorgeous memory.

I'm sorry for your loss, glad you got THAT moment though!

I had to turn live off on my phone because it eats up SO much memory space and if you keep photos forever on your phone to go back to (like me) then you never have space.

@michelepixels If you go to your camera app, at the very top in the middle should be a "bullseye", that toggles it on and off. Should become yellow when it's on and should say on as well. Hope that helps.

Warm hugs for everyone!

I love that! So special. Hugs Katrina! I use it ... the results can be so sweet and so funny. Especially when you are shooting photos of family moving and talking rather than posed pictures. I'm so glad you have some to cherish.

@michelepixels I have the iPhone 6 plus and my daughter has the 6 - we both have it. Do you update your iOS regularly?

I checked - It has to be the iPhone 6S or Iphone 6+ S... must have that S to have this feature. Boo! Next phone!

My iOS is up to date. I did a little research and it seems to be only for the 6S and above. I have just the plain old 6. Oh well. I take video when I want video anyway. I'm only half done paying for this phone and I'm determined to continue using it for more years after I finish paying it off.

Thanks Jenn and @Serena
