Instagram - help me please!

I finally did it and started an Instagram account for my digital scrapbooking layouts. Problem is I have no clue how to share my layouts on it. I see no where to upload my layouts from my computer. I do not have them on my phone (seeing it's limited space).

So how do I share my layouts on Instagram? What am I missing? :madness Is there a quick easy way to post from the gallery to Instagram like pinterest? :badputer

I'm lost....

I open up TLP on my phone. Navigate to my layout in the gallery, press on it until "Copy" shows up and press that. (Or save the image to your phone however your phone works; mine's an iPhone.) Then I open Instagram and the layout is waiting there with the rest of my camera roll.

I have a Samsung. So the only way to upload is via my phone?

I use Later -are u in the calendar schedule screen? (oh I think I misunderstood - I could never figure out how to UL from my computer directly, I thought that option was only open to 'business accounts' on Instagram)

I meant I can't upload using the instagram website. Days like this when I really start to feel my age. I'm starting to get lost in technology.

Google “how to upload to Instagram from my Pc desktop.”

I have a Mac but it works the same. There is a way but I’m not home now to give you step by step. If you don’t have your answer by the time I get home, I’ll post it!
 
Wow! I thought we couldn't upload from our computers! I think we used to not be able to.
 
Well maybe I am wrong!!! Hmmm - now that I think about it, I think I uploaded my layout to Google Photos and then on my phone posted it to Instagram. So much technology.... I should have asked my DD.

You need go enable Developer Tools. Then I have to drag a LO onto insta. Then hit "back." (IDK why but that's what I have to do on Chrome to get the Add option on my screen.) Anyway, then hit the plus sign and add your LO as normal.
ETA: it's not your age. Instagram doesn't want you to add photos from your computer. Also...totally missed that you figured it out. That's what I get for trying to repond while my kids were literally screaming.
 
OK while we are talking Instagram & feeling old, what's the deal with 'stories'? They kind of disappear after a while as opposed to 'staying' under your profile pic -is that right??
 
Yeah, just googling how to do it from a PC got me confused. Even following the instructions for Chrome didn't work for me. Most of what I was seeing though was add-ons for the browser to do it.

Probably why I only have 3 photos on my IG account. I just use it to follow other people!

HAH!! Join the club!!! I won't even LOOK at Instagram because I know it is way beyond me. I even gave up on twitter!! Facebook is the only thing I understand.
