Does this bug you?

It drives my younger brother nuts! So, of course, being an awesome big sister, I randomly send it to him!

LOL If you're talking about leaving time on the microwave, then yes it would bug me, mainly because I look at the clock on our microwave frequently and I wouldn't be able to see what time it is, but also because it's just leaving something unfinished that is easily remedied. I can forgive bigger messes that I know someone may not have had time to deal with, but little things that would have taken no effort (like closing cabinet doors) annoy me more.

ALWAYS! I am always clearing the timer/clock. I'm also the only one who cleans it.

There are SO many other bigger problems in life, why let having to take an extra step yourself bother you. My husband and I are opposites on this though -- fun. Relax. Enjoy the microwave. Now go stress out over which layout you should do next -- the real important things in life.

I'm the one who pushes clear! However, right now, I would love this problem. We have been without a microwave for a few days. Seriously needed one yesterday afternoon to heat up some coffee. First world problems! My husband also doesn't close cabinets. I mentioned this once when we were at dinner with our kids and their partners. His sweetheart started laughing and said that my son doesn't close cabinets either!! Must be genetic!

^^this^^ To me, it's a lack of respect for the home, if you will, and more importantly a lack of respect for the other people who live with you.

I'm just so grateful to be able to cook food quickly in the microwave that I really don't care about the state of its clock/timer! Seriously, I don't even set mine...between the iPhone and the Apple Watch and my computer, I have the accurate time thing covered, anyway. :)

Now, if someone were to leave food uncovered while cooking and splatter it all over the inside of the microwave? It's on, baby...it's on.

Husband hates when I leave the time, it truly doesn't bother me a bit. On occasion, I do it on purpose for a laugh, but usually it's not on purpose and I just forgot when I took the food out to stir it and decided it was fine, or stop it before the beep. Haha.

The timer doesn't really bother me at all. Now, the dirty spots/fingerprints....:giggle There are lots of things I may miss when all my kids are grown and gone, but fingerprints all over everything is NOT one of them lol. But I don't like the microwave beeping sounds, so I always open it before time is up and never clear it until I have to use it again.

I live with a very messy husband, if I let this stuf bother me I'd go insane. Apply the same rule to yourself. If it's that fast/easy to clear - just do it, move on and let it go. Who cares.

what @KimJ said ... mostly bc that is my clock in my kitchen and what @scrappyjedi said bc our microwave died a few months back and let me tell you ... waiting for my special order microwave w/the built in kit (bc ours is built into the cabinets) and needs to match the appliances that are already in my kitchen ... drove my whole family nuts!!! like 3 weeks without a microwave. i pray never again!

Yes, those remaining time digits bug me. But it has been solved at our house -- the display on the microwave broke! So no more remaining time (microwave works fine otherwise). I also recently got a nice big kitchen clock with hands and everything to tell the time from my son. Yay!

This is how I know my brother lives with us lol It bothered me at first but now, I got used to it. Press clear. Problem solved.

I just had a talk with a friend whose husband is also an double E Engineer. They just do not see this kind of thing. I fussed and fumed though about 2.5 years of marriage and then learned it's easier to do it myself and now I only mentally fuss about the way the dishwasher loads.

btw, both of us have spouses who had Big Idea jobs and basically were paid to think. So if it's a child there may be hope ahead.

Yes!! So important!

We have been without a microwave for a few days.
I haven't had a microwave in over 1 year. It doesn't bother me, unless I'm melting butter for popcorn.

Now, if someone were to leave food uncovered while cooking and splatter it all over the inside of the microwave? It's on, baby...it's on.
This is so true! I hate this.

Um, this particular microwave was used by 1 member of the house primarily, and she was 65. :yup The kid used it twice.

Oh @bestcee I thought of you this morning. I got up this morning and the stove clock said 8:05 and the microwave said 7:05. Someone (ahem, hubby) didn't clear it. I wanted to grab pictures, but it was too late. Started my morning off with a chuckle though.
