Inevitable Internet Outage

btw. I just asked hubby if he was having issues before I saw this thread.

Ugh! Sorry. They chose a bad time for maintenance. I bet they have an issue and don't want to admit it. Something broke.

Well, they kept claiming it was all fixed but we insisted they send someone out. Worked at the street but not at the house. We have one of their poles in our yard and it must have gotten hit by a lawnmower. One of the wires was being pinched and eventually stopped sending a signal to us. They repaired and we are back up! Faster than before too.

Sometimes they just need to listen to us. We were just talking about support for something else in my business class and I'm just like why don't they listen?! lol.

So happy they fixed the problem. Yeay for faster! My husband is brainstorming ways to get faster service into the office. There is no internet outlet in here (who does that?!) so we need to add one. He's figuring out a workaround for the moment. We can't get faster than 50 mb internet though due to the area.

We got one of these Zyxel systems for my son's room. Not sure if it was this exact one, since we've had it for a long time. One piece plugs into an outlet near the router/modem and connects to it with a normal ethernet cable. The other piece plugs into an outlet near the computer. It uses the house wiring to carry the signal. It's been working well for my son and he's a heavy internet user. HTH!
