So - it's been really cold in California this week. I usually take my kids to the park a lot to burn off some energy but I'm having a hard time coming up with indoor activities that will keep them interested and out of trouble. We've been watching way too much tv lately. I have 2 boys - aged 2 and 5. Do you have any suggestions?

do you have indoor ball pits, these always entertain my kids with all the climbing frames etc there and mom gets to have a coffee while she watches them so im happy and they are too

Winter is tough. Here are some things we do to burn off energy...

playdates at other peoples houses
mall play area
Children's Museum
Library
At your house - have them chase each other around, Hide and Seek, art projects, games, new toys, get some boxes for them to play in, make cookies...

I'm always looking for new indoor activities as well - we have a blizzard here today, and although I am at work and kids are at Grandma's there will be many more days like this this winter I am sure! I know one thing my girls like to do is get out my old paper scrapping supplies (stickers and cheaper cardstock) and make cards for people! Just an idea if you have any of that stuff laying around - keeps my girls busy for a good hour usually, and I don't need to help the whole entire time which is nice as well!

My kids will spend hours upon hours playing play dough, they also love coloring, wii, painting is another fav. Library, toys, baking....

We live in Northern Canada so its cold here most of the time. They also play outside in it a lot.
