In just over three hours time...

Well... the good news is, that you should be done now! Probably you are sleeping to recover now! Such a great cause!

Hope it went well and you stayed warm + dry! Way to go Kate!

Well, I did it! :) And it didn't rain! :yahoo

It was an amazing experience. There were about 1000 walkers all pounding the streets and lots of well wishers along the way, despite it being the middle of the night! The local fire station was giving out sweets and drinks, and we saw one family in their pyjamas stood out side their house handing out jaffa cakes to the walkers! The jaffa cakes were very much appreciated!

Here are some pics from the Hospice's facebook page:

I'm in the centre of the photo, I'm looking down and linking arms with my pal! This is the start btw, not the finish!

Firemen with sweets - a super combination, especially at 2.30am!!

Finished! With our medals (I'm on the left, next to my vertically challenged friend!! :giggle)

We did it in just over 4 hours, the sun was coming up and the birds singing as we crossed the finish line!

So would you agree with that friend who said she'd never do it again? I think it's such a wonderful cause. Big standing "O" for finishing!

We were really lucky with the weather - no rain, no wind - so I think we had it easier than my poor friend who got very wet doing it!! I'll be doing it again next year, probably in some sort of stupid fancy dress :)
