I got home last night and both "my girls" were doing well enough that I felt like I could come home. I wanted to spend a couple of quiet days with my hubby before Christmas. Thank you ALL for your prayers, hugs, PM's, and your concern! I've never been a part of such a wonderful and caring community like TLP!! My granddaughter sat with me one day and read all of your comments and was so moved. I told her that she (and her mother) were receiving prayers from all over the world. We all believe that the Power of Prayer healed Ava and certainly aided Adrienne along after her surgery. Thank you, thank you, thank you. That doesn't even seem like enough to say to all of you, but I had to let you know I was home and how I appreciate each and every one of you.

We know, now, that Ava had strep in her bloodstream and it was deadly. She had had strep throat a couple of weeks ago and her body had become resistant to antibiotics. The strep virus stayed in her body and went into her bloodstream. Very frightening! If they hadn't taken her to the ER, she might not be with us. @SeattleSheri asked me if they had found out what kind of infection Ava had and I decided to post it on here.

oh my so glad everyone is on the mend and you were able to come home. Continued prayers and thankful they could treat your granddaughter's infection.. so scary for you all. Merry Christmas Cheryl!
 
How awesome to think of words from so many people around the world being shared in that room when your granddaughter read our posts. :grouphug Merry Christmas!
 
Good to hear that your girls are doing so much better that you felt you could come home and spend some quiet time with hubby! It must have been so scary, especially with the strep infection! Glad it is all turning out ok!

Yes, it was very scary, Heather! It was scarier hearing about it and how it could have turned out had they not taken her to the ER.

My heart rejoices you are home, and they are strong. What a sweet and caring thing to do, read the love of strangers to the ones struggling! That made me get all teary and happy at the same time!
