I'm missing hanging out here. But my life hasn't been following the schedule that I made for it (how dare it!) and I'm so behind on everything. And unfortunately that means I don't have time to scrap. Very sad. Hopefully I'll be back in a couple of weeks - I'm keeping my fingers crossed! But if not, I'll be back to hang out with ya'll when I can!

Ah Spring. Seems to bring busier schedules I know the feeling of being behind. I am considering a break as well. Good luck catching up and getting life to cooperate with your schedule. And come back soon.

life is busy, take lots of photos of it happening! YOU will be missed, have fun and make memories!

Good luck with getting it all done soon - you'll be missed Jan!

Priorities! How dare they get in the way of our creative fun! :ballonhangcome back soon!

Boo... but completely understood! Enjoy the time with your family, kids and life! It goes so quickly! Jump back in when you can!

Boo! I hope you are able to sneak back in soon! Silly life not following a schedule.

We'll be here when you get some free time to come back. :)

Take care of yourself!! Hope you are able to get life on track/schedule and back to scrapping soon!

Ahhhh... the joys of life... I hope you things get back on track for you gurl.

Life just doesn't understand, does it! To a schedule you like ahead. It will happen!

Thank you so much for all of your well wishes! Ya'll are just great. :bk

This is part of what I've been doing this past week (along with spraining my foot - silly me ), which was making these two costumes for DD's Dramatic Showcase program for this upcoming season. I needed to get it done by late yesterday afternoon for our rink's ice show solo tryouts. They were "done", but not complete. I've a lot of finishing touches to get done, but I'll start on them tomorrow. I needed a day off of sewing after being at it for 8 days straight! I thought they would only take 3 days, but I ran into one problem after another. Then things went awry after having to trash one attempt due to using the wrong fabric that I thought would work. Again, silly me.

But the good news is that my DS's Eagle Scout Project was approved by the Scouting Council. Hurray! He has one month to complete his Eagle rank before he ages out. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. :overreact

This is DD with two of her coaches, and the costumes. Both were for the same program, she had a costume change mid-way through.

This is what she started out wearing:

She's skating to "When She Loved Me" from Toy Story 2. I'll post a video of it after her first competition, when I have a good copy to show. I also don't want it "out there" until after then.

oh woman you have mad skills and wow to Eagle scout in the fast pace making too...I love love to watch Ice skating, and can not wait to see the final show!

Wow, Jan! I'm totes impressed by your skillz (yes, I'm superfly with my lingo :giggle) and Yay for her. I can't wait to see her skate!

And yes, I understand about life getting in the way. My March was like this. Between literary arts competition, school play, field trips, Easter, spring break and real life minutia it was pretty crazy for me, too.
