If you think I'm nuts...
This is my friend/neighbor. Well not my neighbor anymore, she moved a mile away. (Which is safer for me, because when she lived on my block she made me run with her) But anyway, I know her. She's been trying to beat this record for longer than I've been running, and has come within a mile of it TWICE. Then this spring, someone else beat it, and made it even harder.
But, she finally did it!
It's hard to imagine running for 24 straight hours, but she does. Other than stopping to pee or whatever, she doesn't stop at all. Her average pace was 9:38 a mile for the whole 24 hours, including eating/peeing/etc. She's amazing.
LOL that I miss a running club meeting and then it's on the news. But now you see why my running friends make me just feel like a big fat loser in comparison.
