in line in the freezing cold for two hours to get my kid into a good preschool class for next year. :groan This is the fourth (and last) time I've had to do this. I don't drink coffee but I feel the need for a latte. :imok

The good news is that he is in!

Anyone else have to go through this?

holy moly, I don't think I could! I havent even heard of such craziness!

:lol It must be just us crazies in the suburbs of Chicago. There were over a hundred of us there this morning. And there's always some drama. Bickering over places in line, mama tantrums when the classes fill up and they can't get their kids in... :shrug

Nope, not just where you live. It was like that at the preschool and mother's day out program at our church. it was the best one in town and everyone wanted in...not just members. it was cuh-razy!

I've done that, but during the summer trying to register for the fall. Got there at 5 am for registration that started at 8. HAHAHAHA.

nope we dont do that here either ya fill a form in and send it back lol,but glad you got your place

I've heard of that here but we can't afford those places anyway so I just hope the smart genes we gave them pays dividends ;)

We don't do that hear either, you poor thing that sounds exhausting!

Glad you got in!! No we dont do that around here, our town is much too small

Never had to do that either. My kid will be registered for the year (starting in February) on Monday, his place is already reserved. Congrats for getting your kid in!

We have to wait in line, but ours is always in the spring I believe, at like 7:00 at night and we start lining up at 3:00. We can get into the school at 3:30 after the busses leave. It's kind of nice because I don't have to wake up early, and the last two times I've done it I've been with friends and we order pizza to us in line and hang out - kind of fun actually! Good for you for toughing it out 4 times Carolee!

wow...you are a brave woman. At least he got in so you won't have to do it next year.

Oh girl... trust me... I have been there. Worst part was we were 'wait listed' mostly because it's more of a 'who you know' sort of thing. Luckily we made it in with my first child and LUCKILY once she's in, the whole family is... so my second child was able to go without all the drama. But if that's what it takes to have my 3 year old reading... I'll do it!
