i think we're gonna do it...

get another puppy that is!! dublin is almost a year old now, and he's rather well trained (although he does have a stubborn streak in him at times...weims...)
and lately i've been SUPER OVERCOME with puppy fever! i just can't shake it! i just WANT another dog. the end. i have no excuses. no fantastic reason. i just want one. because i love them.

so tonight i heard back from a lady in miami florida who has 2 blue female weimaraners left. she is willing to ship to our area and the price is reasonable. and the best part...hubby said yes!! i love that man! :heartslub

of course, will share photos if this all goes the way i'm hoping.

I think sometimes that 2 dogs would be easier, because they would entertain each other most of the time. However, going through the puppy stage this time, I had forgotten just how much work it can be. And we haven't even started obedience classes. Just working on "no bite", "off", and house training. I was a lot younger (11 years ago) the last time round.
 
Dalis, they crate them in dog crates and ship them via air. We will just go to the Indy airport and pick her up there. They do have to go through a health certification and have all their shots and deworming and all of that before they're allowed to fly.

So jealous!! I want a puppy but the house that we are currently renting doesn't allow pets :( Can't wait to see piccies of your new addition!

seriously, i laid in bed awake FOREVER last night. could NOT sleep! i kept thinking... where are we going to put another cage... how will we ever travel again... our parents may never let us into their houses again with 2 dogs... *sigh* seriously, i half talked myself out of it. but then i fell asleep, and now that it's morning again, i want the puppy as much as ever. i know 2 dogs doesn't seem like a very big decision, but it feels big... maybe because it's 2 weims :giggle
 
You've been saying you wanted another one ever since you brought Dublin home. It was only a matter of time. LOL They'll be great pals to play together. Can't wait for more puppy pics!
 
DONE! I sent the payment about 20 minutes ago.

I seriously went back and forth and back and forth about whether to get this dog. But in the end, the kids and I just reallllly wanted it and weren't able to turn our backs without some major crying. And hubby is on board although could take it or leave it... but I KNOW he will totally love this puppy as soon as he spends 2 minutes with her.

WOW! congrats - can't wait to see pics! I can't imagine having two weims - LOL - but I love that you went for it! I totally adore my weim - they are fabulous dogs!
 
Awww! Congrats Rebecca! Definitely post pics when she gets here. How fun for you and the whole family!
