I am not feeling good, my throat hurts and my sinus feel horrible. I have been doing laundry all day! I am nowhere close to finishing. I ask Bianca to help with her laundry, tell her she has a mountain of clothes on her bed..... fast forward 30 mins... she comes downstairs and tells me she doesn't know where to put a pair of jeans.

Bianca: Mommy, does this go in the hot or cold basket.
Me: It goes with the jeans.
B: with the hot or cold.
Me: It goes with all your long pants.
B: All those clothes were clean? I put them with the rest of my dirty clothes.
Me: :dizzy

Now tell me, what has your kid or hubby or partner done lately?

My sons are driving me crazy asking for smart phones. My youngest can be pushy. He's been doing tons of research & will hint on a regular basis. My hubby had them (and me) go to Verizon to ask questions & now it's even worse. ARGH!! The more they push the more I want to say no.

smart phones? hahah. I tell them, you get smart. bring me home straight A's and then we will talk about mom getting a smart phone, then get a scholarship and you pay for your smart phone! bnhahha
my children? uhm 3 day weekend? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah with rain, so they will be inside...time to go and invest in poptarts!

LOL!!! Anne, how old are all your boys???? It's a bit sad here because my teens now hole up in their room playing loud music & playing video games. Mom & Dad who?

boys: 16, 14, 8, 6 and 4 and twin girls 13
72 hours...wet and cold in the desert! small town! bhahha...we may have to do a scavenger hunt grocery shop on monday! bhah. entertainment in a small town

After a 3 hour storm today and gutters filled with water... the sun decided to show. DH offered to take the kids outside to burn off some energy. Sweet of him to watch right??

DH was "watching" the kids outside... you can probably imagine where this is going.

The next thing I hear is DD squeaky rubber boot stomps coming into the house calling to me... MOMMY! MOMMY! My teddy bear had an accident and fell in the mud. I looked over to see a chocolate dipped stuffed teddy bear and a ringing wet daughter. *sigh*
So we put poor teddy in the laundry pile and she squeaked back out the door. I went back to cooking dinner.
Later both kids came in dripping wet and covered in mud. I asked them where there dad was... he's outside watching us.
right! :P

yeah, watching them.... sometimes I think that they think that "looking and watching" is the same thing.

Dalis, if you think you are losing your mind now with this kind of thing.....
wait until she passes the 16th birthday....then you will join me in the nut house!!!!!
LOL

I was on my way to sleep but saw this and thought I come say hi too...
With Sarita these days is arguing each and every point until she wears people out, not only me, but I hear her with her friends, even the boyfriend....
she is on that *I know it all* phase...
when I get tired of her going on and on, I just say if she doenst shut up she can't go out in the weekend OR bring the boyfriend LOL

Oh Cynthia... I have so much to look forward too. Save me a spot in the "nuthouse".
The know it all phase starts pretty young. Isabelle tells me the other day that she won't be needing to go to the First grade b/c she already learned everything in Kindergarten. :giggle

kids! Sometimes I think there is no point talking to them at all! I have a pre-teen daughter who will argue with me until her face is blue until I end up yelling "its my way or the highway sista!" (so mature right!) and the teenage daughter who flounces and then storms off shrieking "you don't understand ANYTHING!" ..... sigh! All I want for Mother's Day is alcohol ... is that so wrong???

LOL, Amanda! My elementary school kids can argue like that, too. And my second oldest boy is the king of not listening, then acting like he shouldn't be responsible for whatever it was that I just asked him to do.

A couple of days ago, I asked him to clean his face after he at his snack, then get to work on a book report that's due soon. He says OK, then I go to check on my youngest who is doing something else. When I come back, my older boy is sitting at the table working on a spelling worksheet with his face still dirty. I asked him three times what he was supposed to do, and he couldn't tell me (he's nine, so remembering what I told him 5 minutes ago isn't such a crazy expectation). I was so frustrated I sent him to time out to think about it. He blows off my instructions all the time and only half listens when I talk. The teen years with him are going to be so fun, I can tell already...LOL!

Oh Amanda, Bianca is in the "whY" stage. I thought they had that stage when they were like 3. My final result is "Who's the mom? Me, to it's MY way"... I know super mature too.

Lorell,
My 6 yr old is the SAME WAY! UFFFF... drives me bonkers!

but girls, is not in matiure to asnwer like that...is true I AM the mom and that's it, you ll do whatever it is because I say so....!!!!
Sarita also does the why thing
not that she will accept any of my reason for why she is not going out, she will carry on and on and on, and in the end is that: because I say so!!!!!! this reminded me of the BEST ever video that became my mantra, will post in another thread!

Just to let y'all know....it doesnt get too much better. And then when you hear their wife gripe about the same thing they did when they were younger....well, you just can't help but giggle to yourself.

And here I was going to say it got much better, Mel! I like that you can at least reason with teenagers without that "why" business. Or maybe that's just my kids...

My son spends a lot of time in his room now too. More scrapping time for me!

That is totally mean... and I love you for it Melanie! LOL!!!
