in a BAD way. LOL.

Here's a picture I took today - I let my hair air dry and didn't do anything to it so you can see what I'm working with, all natural and air-dried. Yikes.

Ok a few things.
1) I'm getting a cut/color on Tuesday so please ignore that awful line from my highlights.
2) My hair has been basically the same style for the past 5 years, just longer now than it's been.
3) I'm not sure if I should change it or keep it the way it is, but I do want to keep it long-ish for now.
4) I have used those programs where you upload your photo and "try on" different hairstyles - that's not really what I need right now.

So that being said, I need help with figuring out what I should ask for when I get my cut. Any brilliant ideas? And what about color - right now it's my natural dark brown with lighter highlights on the crown - keep that going? maybe do something reddish for the highlights? What about my bangs - keep them side-sweeping or do a more straight across cut like this:

Now aside from all that, any tips on what in the world I can do with my frizzy mop if I DON'T want to blow dry or straighten it? I need specific product recommendations here.

I think Kate Hudson has similar hair as mine - but how do I make mine look NICE like this instead of all wild and crazy?

My hair is somewhat the same (maybe a little curlier) but here's what I do...

1- Spritz towel dried hair with a curl enhancer
2- Flip head upside down and dry with a blow drier with a diffuser attachment and scrunch hair while you dry
3- Define the ends of your hair with a styling wax and a humidity proof hairspray (keeps away the frizz)

if you want to, or have one, you can touch up a few strands with a large barrelled curling iron before the wax

I know you were talking about no blow dry so I would do step 1, let the hair air dry and then do the curling iron and then add the wax and hairspray

Hope that helps :D

Being a cosmetologist I would say product is key! You need a nice after style wax/pomade. Each piece of Kate Hudsons is rubbed with some sort of styling cream I am sure! I love Artec's texture Shine, but there are many like it! I don't care for kinds that make your hair feel greasy though, and the thing to remember with those products is that a little goes a long way - rub a tiny bit in between your hands and gently run thru your hair choosing piece to "curl/section". Hope that makes a little sense! Your hair is gorgeous, and so are you!!! Ask your stylist about ombre coloring - I think you'd look great with it!!!

Basically the color is lighter on the ends than the roots, which is a natural progression anyway, but when done with the right colors can look amazing!!!

Hmmmm...I wish I had some help. But when I got tired of my hairstyle, I just chopped it all off. But I'll wish you best of luck!

You are so gorgeous Karah!! I don't have any advice...but I loooove the ombre coloring and think you should go for that! I totally would if I had hair as gorgeous as yours!

I'm all about the darker hair right now. I think we have similar coloring and natural hair color (and honestly...everything about your hair looks like mine if it were longer and I didn't dry/flat iron, etc... it) My skin gets pretty pale in the winter, and if I go darker, everything else stands out and pops. You can still do rich caramel highlights, but go a really dark rich brown!!

You are so pretty! Moroccan oil is a fabulous hair product for long hair for shininess and smoothness.
