i'm editing (or trying my best to edit)
photos of a mom who bore a stillborn son this weekend.
my daughters best friends mom, was the nurse on call.
and there for the entire ordeal. she said it was the saddest thing.
ever.
they didn't know it was still born until just before she delivered.
the only photos the birth mother got were those my good
friend took on her cell phone.
the baby was very jaundice, and just black and blue.
it's heart breaking, but i'm trying my best to make
them 'better'.
the mom would like them printed for the funeral next weekend.
but i can only look at them for so long.

and gah. there has been so much sadness around me
this last week.

-my good friend from high school lost her 1 month old to trisomy 18.
-my friends friend in idaho lost her 2 year old after she fell in a canal and drifted 2 miles.
-my other friends sister just died of a 6 month battle with cancer. (she was 30)
-and another friends friend just lost a 3 year battle with a brain tumor. (she was my age and had 6 kids)

i really need to hear some happy news.

Oh Jacque - you really do need some good news!

Having been there and done that with the baby pictures (my nephew was born still and I took his pictures), my only suggestion is to do what you can and take breaks when you need them. Do something that lifts your spirits during your breaks - look at scrapbooks, watch old home movies, watch a good comedy. It really doesn't get easier.

And oh my goodness about all of your other friends - so so sad! *hugs* and prayers to you!

OH wow. That is really really rough. But I do know it's just got to get better. And the good news is that you are there trying your best to help this mother out. God bless you sweetie!

Hugs hugs hugs Jacque. So sorry for all the loses. Praying that you get thru this rough patch with some peace in your heart.
 
I am so sorry Jacque. I admire you for doing this for this woman. And I am so sorry to hear about your other friends. I definitely think you need a break too. Hugs to you girl!
 
OMGosh Jacque! It's an amazing thing you're doing for that family. ((hugs)) and sorry about all of the other hard things going :( I hope things brighten up soon :)
