On Saturday I had 2gig of ram put in! Bumping it from 1 to 3 gig.
OMG what a difference it has made! Everything is so fast now it's amazing!! :happydance2

Plus a 24" monitor, recently formatted-no problems-clean hard drive and CS4 and everything is perfect!!

Well almost perfect. My CS4 trial ends in 6 days and I was hoping to be able to buy it but it's just not possible now. I am going to cry if I have to go back to PS7. :cry
 
PS7 is older than that!! I got PS7 when I was 18 (now 31) and it wasn't new then!
 
Awww wooot for more RAM! Hope it works out so you can still keep on swimming with CS4!

The good news is that CS5 comes out on April 12th, so you can probably get the trial of that for a while!
 
Congrats!! It's amazing what a little chip can do to a computer isn't it?
 
I'm still working with PSE3 and PSE5. I have CS4 but I'm just comfortable with the 'oldie'. LOL
 
Oh my goodness! Going from 1-3 gigs of RAM is huge!!! How on earth have you scrapped on 1 for so long? Congrats!!

I have 3 on my desktop and I just got a laptop with 4 gigs... haven't installed CS2 or anything on it yet to test it to see if it's any speedier.

lol it sucked!! So slow! I can't believe how much faster I can scrap now! Especially with the change from PS7 to CS4 as things that used to take me dozens of steps can now be done in 2 steps. I don't want to go back.
