I'm not sure I'll be of much help. I did Photo a Day one year. I used a set of templates for each week that varied only slightly. I used a different kit for each month because my tastes change so much that using the same one for year or even the same color scheme just wouldn't happen. I only had room for two sentences at most about certain photos. I printed mine as a photo book that year. I also did the project one year with all different templates for each month but not using an actual photo a day, all different kits and more room for embellishments if I felt like it and a little more room for words. Then came Project Life! I did last year with a two page spread for each week, using photos, actual PL cards and digi cards that I made/printed. With all the regular scrapping I did, it was tough to get it all finished. I was thinking of giving up on that but then every time my daughter came home, she grabbed that book and started looking through it to see what I'd used of the stuff she sent me and what her brother had been up to. So I just couldn't quit. This year, I am doing each month and then inserts for extras like her graduation, a vacation or my son's summer trip. This format is working for me. I LOVE looking at the all digi/hybrid PL pages like Heathergw's and scrapnsass! They are able to capture so many different every day moments and USE a bunch of adorable supplies all at the same time. For me, the PL is the one way I can use those actual paper supplies I still buy so mine is made in the actual plastic pages.
I can say you'll love the results! It's so much fun to look back through them!
