Why? Carrie Fisher just passed away...Sorry, but she has always been my biggest icon since childhood.

So sad :cry

oh cinna, I'm so sorry for your pain. I just heard a man on the radio said, that we are indeed blessed to be able to turn on a movie and still have her with us. Maybe a good binge is in store? again, so sorry for your pain. I was a big fan of her books!

2016 has stolen so many of my youth/teenage favorites. I guess that happens as we get older but it is hard!! Just saw Rogue One yesterday and can't wait for Episode 8. Very sad. :(

Yep, I was sad to see that too. I guess she has been one of my favorites and though I haven't read her books I have followed some of her story and identified with some of what she was going through. It also brings up so many memories. Maybe that's why I'm having a hard time getting started on anything today. Maybe it's time to art journal a Carrie Fisher page?

I did a tribute page when Robin Williams died, it helped a lot. He was a big hero to us in San Francisco. So many greats are gone too soon. I really feel for her family right now. Also, George Michael. Just sad.

I did one too with Robin Williams. That one was so difficult for me because of how he died and the depression. I think I even did one a year after. It's a part of our life so why not our scrapbooks? I was just thinking of her family and going through Christmas not knowing for sure if she would make it.

I hope they enjoyed the Christmas with her that they had, even if it was at the hospital.

I'm bummed out too. 2016 has taken a lot of my childhood people. I was in a store about 10 minutes after I heard about George Michael and boom - they played Last Christmas on the radio.

Yeah so many this year. I was surprised Carrie Fisher's had such an impact. Yet Star Wars was during my late teenage years where I felt so out of place. Empire Strikes Back was a date with Jim -- too many formative years. Then the quote appeared on facebook and that was it I needed to preserve that.

I did one when Maya Angelou died, as she was my fave. It definitely helps. 2016 has definitely taken TOO many greats and legends.
