I tried making a soup that I have never done before (without a recipe). Ok, it was not terrible, but it wasn't amazing. I accidentally put my Vitamix on HIGH for the last part and made a "creamed" soup vs. a chunky soup. We are chunky soup people... so now I have half a Vitamix of green soup that I am thinking of dumping instead of saving. hmmmm... what to do?!?!?!?

Make me feel better, tell me about your failed attempts to make something.

I have lots of these stories. I once forgot that my tea kettle was on - I think I left for work. And when I came home, my teapot was melted. It was an electric stove so I guess I'm lucky I didn't burn the house down!

And this is a famous story in my family. When I was maybe 15 years old, I made cookies for a family event. Some of them were a bit burned and my mom told me they were ok and that I should just put them on the bottom of the pile. Well, my family didn't think they were ok! That year at Christmas, my aunt and uncle made me "gifts" out of burnt cookies. They shellacked them and made stuff like paper weights, fishing lures, earrings. Everyone thought it was hilarious - except for me. I just wanted to cry!

I don't take my mom's advice on baking anymore! My relatives still like to remind me of this - they pick up cookies to check the bottoms!

Robin, that was totally mean from them.

Anne, it's always the chicken.
