I've been itching to get the new version of Photoshop. I did the trial (twice!! :whistle) and at first I didn't like the drag feature, but as I got used to it, I love it. It makes scrapping and designing much cleaner for me on my laptop. I also don't have anything that can edit my RAW photos.

My husband kinda said no, I couldn't get it. :flirty So I kinda did it anyway. :peekin

I mean, how could I resist?! It's Christmas, I've been good :giggle and the design standard version is 199 on campus. I can payroll deduct it and pay 40 bucks a month tax/interest free. Soooo, I added in Lightroom 3.

I'm probably in trouble. :helpy lol

Uh ohh!! :giggle That makes me laugh because I've been there myself! Just say that you *heard* him kinda say yes b/c he didn't officially say no! :lol

:lol When I bought our new computer John said I could not spend 100s on CS... that I needed to just get a new version of PSE... so instead I went on eBay and got CS3 for only slightly more than PSE.

I so want to upgrade. But, I've got so many other things I want first. Like an $800 embroidery machine. And a new full frame camera. And since I'm thinking of switching to Canon, all new lenses. Although, if I can find it on Ebay for slightly more than what I'd pay for PSE, I may just have to get it anyway. lol.

Oh, that's a good point. I have the full Adobe Design Standard CS4 that I could sell. I only have one computer I use it on, so I'll be uninstalling it. I have lightroom 2 to get rid of too. I won't need those anymore.

Oooo... this piqued my interest. I would love to know why you are thinking of making the switching to Canon, not that I think that's a bad decision:giggle.

My trial is about to run out and I really need to purchase because I think I may go nuts without it. Congrats on your new purchases.

Just use your womanly wiles to persuade him otherwise...

Men are so easy to manipulate, aren't they?! :giggle

Ditto, I love my Canon... my husband bought me a 60D in May on payroll deduction. We paid half in cash and the rest on the same interest free/tax free payment plan. I really wanted to buy a new lens while I was doing this today, but that'd have been more noticeable, lol!!

LOL...better be nice to Scott...
I know right... I think I can get by til Christmas without him finding out. I brought my laptop to work and have everything installed, now I just have to put the software up when I get home. He won't notice it on the shelf. It's in my laptop bag, it will be fairly safe there. I'm feeling kinda evil, lol... or should I saw whohhohohohoo... (that was my evil laugh)... lol.

there are ways to make him ok with it! ;)

I so want to upgrade! I need a discount for teachers and students! I am jealous of that! I am still using PSE 7 hahah!

I am so happy with my software, I am glad I did it.

Crystal, I love your siggy, it's so cool!

I want to upgrade but I'm waiting for the next version which may have that amazing sharpen which was demo'ed recently.

Lol this sounds like me but I can get away with anything because I handle the bills etc so know what's going out so he has no clue what goes in or out the bank so would never know lol

You deserve it Kat. You got a great deal, so he shouldn't complain. Just explain that is you had to pay retail, it would be at least 3x the cost. You saved money and what a good wife you are to be frugal :)
