John C. Riley turned it down... Woody Harrelson snatched up the role of Haymitch! Stanley Tucci cast as Caesar Flickerman, and I have seen (via the web of course) that Adam Lambert loves HG and wouldn't he make a great Cinna????

ha - i saw the woody news this morning on facebook and i was all confused b/c i had previously seen the john c. riley news ... i actually think i like woody better in this role, so cool!

Awesome news about Woody! And yes, it would be awesome to see Adam L. in there too! I hope they do a better job of these movies right out of the gate than they did with Twilight.

I can totally see Woody Harrelson in that role. We just watched 2012 and he played such a wonderful (and crazy) character in it. He's come a long way from his Cheers days, that's for sure.

I am excited about Woody..he looks different than I pictured but I think he will do a good job. I am soooooooooooo NOT an Adam L fan and it would ruin it for me if he was Cinna. I heard Lennie Kravitz (sp?) was being considered for Cinna as well. I am anxious to find out that role cause Cinna was one of the best characters IMO!

I don't see him as Cinna either. I get the "famboyant" feeling from AL, as in marked by ostentation but often tasteless; "a cheap showy rhinestone bracelet"; "a splashy half-page ad" kind of flamboyance, and that isn't how I pictured Cinna.

Interesting I came across a blog that suggested either Jude Law or Ewan McGreggor for the role of Cinna. I could totally see Jude Law - he's done androgynous-stylish before (Gigalo Joe in A.I.), and done it well.

Any talk about President Snow?
