Howdy Everyone - I'm Alive!!!

Well, it has been quite the month for me! I've literally been MIA from the message boards and scrapbooking for the past few weeks.

As you know, I have been suffering from some real painful attacks. After the second one lasting 72 hours, I broke down and went to the dr. I had an ultrasound and it turns out it is my Gallbladder - sooo, I see a specialist next month to take it out. I have never had such pain in my life. The ultrasound also showed some things wrong with my liver. So I've spent the past few days worrying endless that I was in 'big' trouble health wise. As it turns out, my bloodwork showed my levels were only slightly elevated over the normal range so my dr has me taking 800 units of Vitamin E daily to repair it. What a relief, as you can imagine... the past weeks I seriously thought I was dying.

I realize it has been a wake up call for me and I've switched my diet immediately! No more pop, fried foods, junk food! It has been so hard being in the midst of the 'holiday' season, but I know it has to be done.

If that wasn't enough, our hot water tank began leaking on Christmas Day. Thankfully, we caught it real quick, turned it off and replaced it the next day!

Soooo, I'm hoping that it is on and upward from here on in and I'm so looking forward to January and my guesty spot here at the Pad!!

Wow, what a scare, Patti!!! I'm glad it was just that - a scare! (((hugs))) But it's good that you got to check everything out just to be safe. I hope the surgery gives you relief soon!
 
From what I hear, the relief will be immediate once you get that vile sucker out of you! Good luck!
 
We've missed you Patti! I love to read your posts because they are so cheerful and make my day brighter! So glad that you dodged a bullet with your liver and that it should be fine!

I hope you get great relief from the surgery and everything comes back normal on your other tests. {hugs}
 
So sorry to hear you've been going through such a tough time but thankful they've found the cause!
 
So sorry to hear your troubles Patti... I am glad things are on the mend though... just think, January will be so much better. (jealous! lol!!)
 
Have missed you Patti! I hope things are looking up for you soon and am glad you are feeling better! Glad you ended up loving the MI books too.
