Ce is 8.5 and bathing is ... not something he has any desire to do ever :p

So how often you make your kids shower/take a bath etc. I need some leverage in convincing him to do it more often.. So I can be like seeeeeeeeeeee look at all these posts saying their kids bathe way more often than you :p

He's getting to be that age.. where he smells :duh

Every night...or he smells like school. LOL

The only days he doesn't shower is if he goes swimming on the weekend.

I make Kenzie bathe and wash hair daily. She has oily fine hair and it is a mess if not. She does not like to though

once a week, except in the summer when they play in dirt or have on bug spray

tho, Moriah is twice a week now because she's starting to stink halfway through the week

my boys are six and they take a shower every morning before school. If we aren't going anywhere, I occasionally let them skip it, but their hair is SCARY spice if they don't shower.

and we shower, because baths would take way too long!

Less in the summer when we're at the pool every night but typically every other day is the minimum. My youngest especially is just a sweaty, dirty mess.

Every morning. They're like all nasty and greasy if they don't,b ut then again we live on the equator and they sweat all day AND they both sweat at night. Some days, if they've played hard outside, I give them a bath before bedtime just to help them chill out. But both of my kids could spend an hour in the tub or shower each day. They totally get that from their dad.

Every night because they usually swim or have a game or practice where they become dirty or sweaty. If there is none of that going on sometimes it is every other day. Never longer. And my boys shower. They would make a colossal mess if I let them take a bath.

Pretty much every day. I hate germs and with them at school all day long I would rather they shower/bathe more frequently.

Depends on the season. In the summer when it is hot and they get all sweaty, every day unless we are camping or something where we are roughin it, lol. In the other seasons, we do every other day unless they get nasty for some reason. Every other day keeps them lookin good, but then again they are not at school getting all germ infested either :)

^__^ thanks guys

it boggles my mind really.... It's not uncommon for me to shower 2x a day {dependent on the circumstances} and i manage to birth a kid who thinks he's allergic to soap :p We're working on a new routine now.. Erm.................. I dubbed it jedi training to encourage him {covering cleaning his room, taking care of his self care, exercise, and taking care of his pets.. Hey! whatever works :p } but the self care thing is still being a bugger.

Same here, depends on the season. In summer when we're sweaty and playing outside all the time gettin' dirty, its daily. Most of the rest of the year its twice a week, usually Wed and Sun. The baby more often if he puts stuff in his hair, you know, kinda like this:

Every day. In the winter, I sometimes let my little one switch to every other day if she hasn't done anything active and/or stinky, but the teenager still has to stick with daily.

I had mine shower every day when they were young. A couple of mine fought me on it tho!

My kids give me grief about it, too. I tell them they are lucky they are boys. It's so easy for them - five minutes tops and no hair drying. I don't understand the complaining. I'm always having to remind them...you don't want to be known as the stinky kid at school. :)

Mine are 8 and 10 and shower every day. They are both really quick in the shower so I try to encourage them to bathe once every few weeks or so, just so I know they are getting a good soak. They do swim several times a week though.

My oldest used to be a total bear in the morning and one day he woke up wet and we made him shower before school. He came out SMILING! We have made him shower every morning since then and that was in kindergarten. He's now in 2nd grade and we still do that. He stays in there forever, but at least it's a habit now and I don't even have to argue. :) It'll be nice once the BO starts too! My youngest started showering every day this year too at the beginning of kindergarten.

Mine are 8 and 5 and they shower/bathe every day. Occasionally during the winter if they haven't played outside, they might go every other day but that's fairly rare. And Camden, my 8 year old, fights it nearly every day. That and brushing his teeth. I keep telling him he might as well get used to it because he'll have to do it his entire life. ;)
