How do you use Instagram with PL

Oh, I can't stand the awesomeness of this thread... if loving Instagram and TLP is wrong, I don't wanna be right! ♥

I've used them in all of mine. Here's how I've used them:

With a cardstock background:

again...cardstock background and also with Lili's photo collages:

and more with Lili's photo collages, on cardstock or journaling cards, and also with Gina's:

I love using my instagram photos...and when I put them all on Lili's photo collages, I'll actually print them out like at since they are 4x6. So far my album has been digi because I'm waiting on page protectors, but I do plan to print them like that.

OMG, Debra!! I'm in loveee with your PL!! I think one day I'll have to do something like this!
Perfect work girl! :)

WHY do I read these posts? Just DL instagram because of this and am in love!!! Debra your album is Awesome! As are the others on here! Love...

has anyone used the hipstimatic app? i love it! and it actually saves the date you took the photo and it uploads them straight to FLICKR. the resolution of the photos is much better too. I think it costs 1.99 but it's so worth it!

Yes, one thing that bothers me about Instagram is it doesn't save the date you took the photo. You would think that would be an easy fix for the Instagram developers!

I'm so glad you ladies posted about this, I thought it was something I was doing wrong!

We should all find the app feedback and tell them!

There is a workaround for this issue. There's another app called ExifWizard. You can browse your Instagrams in it and see the date.

I'm old fashioned ~ my cell ph is 9 yrs old, but I only use it for emergencies. It doesn't take photos... My niece laughs at me.

I just LOVE Hipstamatic photos! I'm using them in my PL this year.

Isn't Hipstamatic addictive? i love how you can add favorite lens/film combos. whats your favorite? I am currently stuck on the Roboto Glitter lens and Blanko film (no flash). It makes everything so blue and dreamy.

So now of course in curious about hipstimatic. Do I understand correctly that you have to pick the lenses and styles before you take the photo? After you've taken the photo you can't change it so that it looks like you took it without hipstimatic right? Are the photos square or rectangular? Do you think it is worth the $1.99 if you have instagram? Thanks so much for the info! Have a great day!

I think with Hipstamatic the $1.99 price only gets you very limited camera bodies and lenses. You have to pay more for the additional ones.

Just a comment on the Instagram date issue... I've been using the app Momento to track my journaling and each days' events. You can set it up to import your instagram feed, your blog feed, your facebook feed, flickr feed, etc. And then you can add your own comments about each day. This app has been so helpful because when I sit down to do my PL I just scroll through my feeds for the week and it's all there!

There are about 7 or 8 extra Hipstapacks now. Each will have a 3 to 5 things in it, lenses, films, flashes or a case. There is a really cool graphic on the web that shows what all the combinations look like.

This one shows all of them in one spot http://content.photojojo.com/static/hipstamatic/

Here it shows them one by one and describes features http://content.photojojo.com/guides/ultimate-hipstamatic-guide/

You can also do "shake to randomize" and just shake the phone first and it'll just pick a random combination. Sometimes, they are kind of unusual looking though. I have two or three go-to lenses and films. There are just too many to choose from!

Thanks for the info Stacy, very helpful! I just have the regular ones that came with the $1.99. Now I can look for more that I might like! :)
