Inquiring minds (that are behind 4 layouts) want to know!!

Right now, I'm missing #8, #9, #11, and #13. I got behind thanks to the weekend, a sick child, and school bus driver training.

Tomorrow is my school bus driver test. Then I start actually driving a school bus with KIDS on it! YIKES Split shift work is going to kill me - first half of shift is from 6am-8:30am the second half is 2pm-5pm (with variations for weather, etc)

I'm still trying to figure out how to catch up myself.... Sarita had the operation so am doing a lot more than I do normally...but have been awake the past 2 nights...that s how I made the pages I posted today!!!!

All the best for the exam!!!! hope that things get easier and you get to catch up!!! need top visit your gallery, missed you!!!:heartlub

I don't know since I haven't fallen behind yet, but that will change next week, so I'll be watching for any tips.

This morning I had day 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14 to do... I did all but day 13 today. It helped that I had some extra time this morning and tonight.

I knew I'd be busy this month, so I decided to just keep the page design simple, stick to one or two kits, one or two photos and not beat myself up if I don't get all the challenges done. And as Katie Scott always says, "Pick it and stick it!"

Good luck on the exam, Lynn!

Cynthia, get some sleep so you can be fresh for your girl!!!

Trying to figure this out too - every time I think I will be able to knock the ones left out - my toddler decided to have other plans! I have requested some time off this weekend, and Hubbs agreed, so I hope to go to a coffee shop and play for a few hours!

I think I am two behind now. I had a sick kid too and he was up a lot in the middle of the night two nights ago, so yesterday I was a zombie and couldn't even think about scrapping. I put the kids to bed and then went to bed myself. I plan on pouring myself a glass of wine on Friday after work/school and sitting down to catch up. I find that I can catch up best if I have a plan in my head before I even sit down. If I know what kit and what photos I'm going to use, I can sit down and actually get started right away and work on just the challenge part.

You can do it! Good luck on your test too! :) If your kids are all in school once you start driving, will the middle of your day be scrapping heaven?

It looks like you've got the perfect break in the middle of the day to scrap, lol!! I'd probably take a nap though, I hate getting up early. I'm trying to do make as many of the challenges as I can fit pages I already need to do, so I'm more motivated to finish. I really struggle with working on things I don't like or know I'm never printing. I also try and work on two pages a day while I'm behind. Last year, I had to finish 6 on the last weekend and I REALLLY don't want to be in that spot again!

I need to put together a plan to catch up, I'm 3 days behind including today

I wont be scrapping today as Mum & dad will be here shortly for us to book our holiday and its Karate night for my son

I'll try to get at least 2 done tomorrow

Saturday maybe 1

sunday no scrapping then start again Monday

I'm decidedly a morning person so getting up early isn't too much of a challenge - that's if I sleep at all... - but that said, I get caught up by just having an extra hour in the morning. I head to the office an hour early on weekdays and let the hubby sleep while I do coffee in front of my laptop on Saturday. So far this is working to keep me caught up - but the other thing I do if I start to get behind is plan. Even if I can't grab some time to scrap I try to plan out in my head what I want to do for the page. It doesn't always end up anything like what I planned in my head, but it gets me a fast starting point when I finally grab the time.

I am behind 3 pages. Can't realy tell how to get back on track other then scrap, scrap, scrap. That's what I am doing! :giggle

I'm on track so far, but when I get behind, weekends will need to be my friend!

multi task ... think about what you want to do for the challenges (what photo/what kit/etc) while you are busy doing the busy bits of life ... taxi'ing kids, cooking meals, etc (not during your driver's test though!!! good luck on that!) and then when you have some free time, hopefully you have a plan in place for a few layouts and can get a few done marathon style. that is what i did the other night. got 4 done. still behind by 4 though ...

I am super duper behind now. Will have to see what I can do this weekend. At least I am off the last weekend of the challenge so I have at least that going for me.

How do you catch up? It is just like eating an elephant....one bite at a time.
I found this way cool graphic:
FirstStep_8.jpg

do one page at a time
tackle that hard page right now, and have it behind you
and you are already surrounded by people who support you!!
YOU can do this!

I've managed to get and stay caught up. It's actually helped a lot that my husband has been surprisingly supportive of me finishing. I was feeling actually kind of unmotivated to scrap the other night and he kind of cheerleaded me into finishing my page for that day - and he's willing to give me the time to do it. Of course, there's always a whole website of cheerleaders here!

You can do it!

And I love the idea of scrapping it in your head, so that when you get to the computer you know exactly what you want to do.

Anne... YOU ROCK!!! Color me inspired!

Welp, my kids and their tummies had other plans for me today. Puke Patrol. No bus driver testing today - maybe next week. Cute scrap page to follow - believe it or not - puke is inspiring another page! LOL

My neighbor is going to the grocery store for me - we need BRAT diet items and I need caffeine, guess I'm not giving up soda this week.

At one point, I was 5 layouts behind, but I am now caught up. I kept a sticky note (on my computer) with the challenges that I needed to complete. Then, when I was looking for photos for the pages, I could look for all of them at once. That saved a lot of time for me.

When I get behind, I make a list of what I still need to do, then tackle the easiest one first. Builds momentum to tackle the others. :)

Eep - I'm falling behind too - real work life has stepped in and basically taken over my life! I am hoping Sunday I can veg out in front of my computer and get caught up! I would rather stay current, because I tend to stress out when I get behind - and I want this to be fun fun fun!!
