Mummyd excels at this as you can see in this picture! How do you learn how to do it? Thanks in advance.

lol, its all about the light effect I do on my papers, which make the lighter colour in the center and the darker around the edges

In most of my pages I do tend to use a plain background paper (personal preference) but what I do is duplicate the paper so I have 2 papers the same, on the one I just duplicated I go to Filter - render- lighting effect, my style is always soft Omni you can change the size of the circle too how ever big you like it, I tend to have mine quite big, then ok

I then change the blend mode to screen, duplicate again and change blend mode to soft light

hence this gives you the faded effect to the papers

I then go about making my page as I would normally, but just before I finish I go to the background paper I duplicated the 3rd one, duplicate it again but this time, I drag this new paper on top of everything I have made and lower the opacity to 45%, gives you more of a real look to the page

Hope this helps, and if not it probally had confused you even more, I never do things easy in PS

and Nicole just for you here is a screen shot of my shadow settings just for you sweetie, what I do is the elements that lay directly on the background papers I move the distance less, to around about 50 and size to around 40, anything on top of these go with the higher settings, also if you use a darker paper, then the opacity will increase, I go up in 5's, hope it helps sweetie
