I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Time flies really fast, it's already 11 days of AJ.

How are you doing so far? Having fun? Therapeutic for you? Stressful task ?
I will be honest with you, as much as I am excited to see your awesome layouts everyday.. I get stressed out creating my own daily AJ/ Mixed media.. When I came up with the prompts , it was a spontaneous thing.BOY!! When I had to sit down and create my own page, I kinda struggle and overthink about the whole process!! I DID NOT COMPLETE ALL THE DAILY PROMPTS!! I am quite a rebel in that sense, I hate being told to do something every day even though it's my own prompts!! LOL!!

What about YOU?

has brought alot of negative out of me..

Oh no :( !!!

I think sometimes it brings out what we suppressed inside of us.. which to me is a good thing.. versus keeping it all bottled up instead!! When I first started AJ, I was going through a lot in life.. most of my pages were dark and filled with anger.. but I'm glad I art journal anyway.. I somehow find that it's therapeutic to have all the emotions on a layout..

I like the prompts a lot better than being told what to put on my page, to be honest. I like what I eventually ended up with for yesterday's but I found it a lot harder to get going and I'm not enjoying today's at all. The prompts are a lot more freeing for me.

I've been running a couple days behind, but I'm really trying to get one done for every day. I have to agree with Lorry, just a prompt is much easier work with - it's more motivating, I think.

Just got caught up. I like the prompts and challenges to give me a focus. It's so much fun to stick so much stuff on a page.

I'm a couple of days behind because it's thanksgiving here in Canada on Monday so I've Ben devoting my time to trying to make a good thanksgiving dinner without all those things I can't eat any more. And my sons' girlfriend is a vegetarian so it's bee a challenge. I'll try to get caught up tomorrow morning. I like tot think about the prompts for a few hours before I start the it goes faster. Some of them are hard though and I have to think for quite awhile to come up with something I like.

I've only done two, because I'm just not allowing myself to stress. I will catch up as I can. This week other things took priority. :)

I loved the prompts I did, though!

I have been going with the first thing that comes to mind when I read the directions or prompt. I am going with that no matter what just to take the pressure off myself. Some pages have taken me hours to create and others less than an hour. It's all good. I'm enjoying it.

I suspect you are like me, the longer the instructions are .. the more I get worked up by it!! LOL!!! I find it challenging to READ instructions. hahahah!!! But I have done a few layouts from MOC following a specific instructions and I find that although I dislike it.. I have learned new techniques and there are many AH HA moments!!

I thought all thanksgiving day is the same around the world!!

I have to say that some of my best work has been a challenge that has actually CHALLENGED ME. It has taken me out of my comfy box and into a new world, that's why they are called CHALLENGES. :)

Hubby has been home so far this month (he works tomorrow) I found it too hard to concentrate when someone was looking over my shoulder. Also have been getting ready for my mini celebration. So I'll catch up soon.

Wait, I am lost, what are we celebrating? btw. I have trouble too concentrating when B is watching over my shoulder.

To me, MOC is different. I love the intricate challenges and new techniques there, but I'm in a totally different mindset when I do AJ, and it doesn't work with rules.

We are finally celebrating my graduation. Hubby had to have hernia surgery and recovery first he decided.

I guess every artist have a different creative process, likes and dislikes… LOL!! I HAVE MANY DISLIKES !! I signed up for an art kinda course , there is class every week for a year and I am not even half way there. MOC drives me nuts.. hahahaha!!! BUT MY BEST PAGES ARE FROM MOC. I noticed that you have gone back to 12X12 size layout!!

i just posted day 12...i'm enjoying the prompts and try not to over-think the process. I love having the daily challenge to create aj pages. and it's good practice for MOC which will be here before we know it.

What is MOC?
I LOVE having the daily prompt. I'm doing all of them as ATC's, so it adds a bit more of a challenge, but I LOVE doing layouts in that style. I started out and was going to upload several at one time. But, after posting the first 5 on the 5th, I've found I prefer to post them as I do them - daily. I, too, prefer the more generic prompts, but when I say today's I knew exactly what I was going to do.
